Waived by Philadelphia The 76ers Tony Jones of The Athletic Martin on Tuesday.
Impact Martin signed an Exhibit 10 contract with Philadelphia on Sept. 22. After being waived a day later, he'll likely end up suiting up for the Delaware Blue Coats in the G League. The 20-year-old forward played in 16 regular-season games during the 2024-25 campaign, splitting time between the Nets and Wizards, averaging 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game, while shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from three-point range.
SEPTEMBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
Lands deal with Philadelphia Martin signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the 76ers on Monday, Tony Jones of The Athletic reports.
Impact Martin will compete for a spot on Philadelphia's regular-season roster after being cut by the Wizards in early August. He spent most of last season on two-way contracts, averaging 4.9 points and 2.8 rebounds across 14.9 minutes per game in 16 regular-season appearances between Brooklyn and Washington.
SEPTEMBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
Let go by Wizards The Wizards waived Martin on Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Impact Other than a brief late-season stay with the Wizards, Martin spent most of his time in 2024-25 with three teams in the G League and will now hope to find another home ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. Through his 20 G League outings, Martin averaged 14.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 28.0 minutes per game.
AUGUST 4 • ROTOWIRE
Brooklyn Nets jersey history No. 16 - Jaylen Martin (2024) During his time suiting up for the Nets, Martin wore only jersey No. 16 and put up 1.0 points per game.
JUNE 9 • USATODAY.COM
Team-high four steals off bench Martin logged eight points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, three assists and four steals in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 122-103 loss to the 76ers.
Impact Despite coming off the bench, Martin recorded a team-high four steals. The two-way player was eligible to play in one more game Wednesday, so it appears his campaign has come to an end. Over his last six contests, Martin has averaged 8.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 25.7 minutes.
APRIL 10 • ROTOWIRE
Healthy inactive Wednesday The Wizards list Martin as inactive for Wednesday's game against the Kings.
Impact A two-way player, Martin is eligible to suit up in just two more games for the Wizards for the rest of the season, so the team will hold him out Wednesday to preserve his games count. Washington will have just nine players available Wednesday, and all players could end up seeing minutes.
APRIL 2 • ROTOWIRE
Fails to score in loss Martin accumulated zero points (0-1 FG) and two rebounds in four minutes during Monday's 112-104 loss to the Raptors.
Impact Martin made a rare appearance in the loss, suiting up for just the sixth time in the past nine games. Prior to that, he had been out of the rotation altogether, continuing what has been a disappointing campaign. To this point, he has appeared in just 10 games, averaging 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.4 minutes per contest.
MARCH 25 • ROTOWIRE
Impresses off bench Martin registered 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 112-97 loss to Portland.
Impact Making just his fourth appearance for the Wizards, Martin recorded multiple career-highs in his first extended workload -- the Wizards benched Jordan Poole and Khris Middleton at halftime of this contest. Martin, who is on a two-way contract, is likely to get more opportunities to impress down the stretch with the Wizards in player evaluation mode.
MARCH 18 • ROTOWIRE
Lands two-way deal The Wizards signed Martin to a two-way contract Saturday.
Impact Martin had previously opened the season on a two-way deal with Brooklyn, but he logged just five total minutes over three appearances at the NBA level before being waived in January. The 21-year-old wing has seen the bulk of his playing time in the G League this season, averaging 16.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers in 29.6 minutes per game over 22 appearances with the Long Island Nets and Delaware Blue Coats.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Lands two-way deal with Wiz The Wizards signed Martin to a two-way contract Saturday.
Impact Martin is averaging 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals over 34.9 minutes per game with the G League Delaware Blue Coats this season. He'll have an opportunity to earn a rotational role off the Wizards' bench.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Cut by Brooklyn The Nets waived Martin on Wednesday.
Impact The 20-year-old forward had been on a two-way contract with Brooklyn, but he'll give up his spot to forward Tosan Evbuomwan, whom the Nets officially signed in a corresponding move. Martin appeared in just three games for Brooklyn and logged five minutes in total.
JANUARY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Out multiple weeks Martin has been diagnosed with a right knee bone contusion and will miss at least 1-2 weeks, the Nets announced Wednesday.
Impact Martin picked up the injury in a G League game on Nov. 24. Based on this timetable, the earliest Martin could return to the court for Long Island is Dec. 6 against Delaware. He's made only two NBA appearances this season, totaling three minutes, so his extended absence shouldn't impact Brooklyn's rotation.
NOVEMBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Will suit up Monday Martin (illness) is available for Monday's game against the Grizzlies.
Impact While Martin is cleared to suit up, he's not guaranteed playing time. He's made two appearances this season, totaling three minutes.
NOVEMBER 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Iffy due to illness Martin is questionable for Monday's game against the Grizzlies due to an illness.
Impact Martin has played a total of three minutes in two appearances this season, so his status doesn't carry many fantasy implications.
NOVEMBER 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Logs 11 points in preseason debut Martin recorded 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt), four rebounds and an assist across 16 minutes in Tuesday's 115-106 loss to the Clippers.
Impact Martin's future usage is unclear, as the two-way player may find his way back into the G League once the season is underway. He's shown flashes of production with the Long Island Nets and recorded a couple of decent performances during this year's Summer League in Las Vegas, so he'll likely make appearances within his contract restrictions.
OCTOBER 9, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Scores 12 points in Summer League Marten logged 12 points (4-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, an assist and three steals across 24 minutes of Friday's 97-95 win over the Pacers in overtime.
Impact Martin missed the final three games of the 2023-24 regular season with a sprained left ankle, but he's overcome the injury and operated as Brooklyn's sixth man Friday. The 20-year-old inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Nets in February and although he'd been part of the Nets' roster, he has yet to make his NBA debut.
JULY 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Out against 76ers Martin (ankle) won't play against the 76ers on Sunday.
Impact This will be the third game in a row on the shelf for Martin, and it ends his regular season. Martin failed to register an appearance at the NBA level this campaign.
APRIL 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Friday Martin (ankle) is out for Friday's game versus the Knicks.
Impact Martin will miss his second straight contest Friday due to a left ankle sprain. His last chance to suit up this season is Sunday's matchup with Philadelphia.
APRIL 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with ankle sprain Martin has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Raptors due to a left ankle sprain, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Impact Martin must've sprained his ankle during the Long Island Nets' loss to the Maine Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals of the G League playoffs Sunday. He has yet to make his NBA debut, so his absence won't impact Brooklyn's rotation.
APRIL 9, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Inks two-way deal The Nets signed Martin to a two-way contract Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Impact Martin has spent the beginning of the 2023-24 season with the Westchester Knicks of the G League, averaging 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 27.9 minutes across 15 appearances. Martin will now split time between the Brooklyn Nets and the Long Island Nets of the G League.
FEBRUARY 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Cut by Knicks The Knicks waived Martin on Saturday, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.
Impact Martin joined the Knicks on a two-way deal in late November but never made an appearance with the NBA club. He'll cede his two-way slot to center Dmytro Skapintsev, who adds depth to the frontcourt in the wake of injuries to Mitchell Robinson (foot) and Jericho Sims (ankle). Assuming he goes unclaimed off waivers, the 19-year-old Martin will remain under the franchise's umbrella with the G League's Westchester Knicks.
DECEMBER 23, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Lands two-way contract Martin signed a two-way contract with the Knicks on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Impact Martin was waived by New York in mid-October but has been a productive player for the G League's Westchester Knicks recently. Over six appearances with Westchester, he's averaged 10.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 22.6 minutes per game. He's unlikely to have as much of a role with the parent club but has landed a deal that will allow him to easily move between New York and Westchester.
