Denver looks to prolong its five-game win streak with a victory against Orlando

Leads bench in loss Richardson contributed nine points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two assists and one rebound in eight minutes during Saturday's 132-120 loss to New York.

Impact The rookie first-rounder did not see the floor in the first three quarters but played the last 7:35 with Jalen Suggs (hip) exiting to the locker room and not returning. Richardson impressed during his limited run and ended with a bench-high nine points for Orlando. The Michigan State product is not guaranteed to play meaningful minutes on a nightly basis, though he could see increased playing time if Suggs is forced to miss additional time.

Puts up eight points in loss Richardson ended Wednesday's 114-112 loss to the Spurs with eight points (3-5 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 16 minutes.

Impact Richardson seems to have moved up in the depth chart, playing in at least 10 minutes in his last three games and averaging 11.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.3 threes in that span. Time will tell if this role boost will last, but Richardson is definitely worth monitoring in deeper leagues, especially if an injury were to occur to Orlando's backcourt.

Adds 18 points off bench Richardson racked up 18 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes during Sunday's 138-129 loss to the Celtics.

Impact Richardson saw a sizable increase in opportunities given a thin Magic backcourt. He was averaging 4.4 minutes in five November appearances entering Sunday but logged a season-high 21 minutes in the loss, scoring in double figures for the first time in his young NBA career. Richardson could eventually carve out a consistent role in Orlando's rotation, but for the time being, he'll presumably move out of the fold once Jalen Suggs (knee) is cleared to return.

Impact Richardson came up empty in the scoring column for the fifth straight game, having played limited minutes to this point in his young career. While the Magic could certainly do with some reliable shooting, it doesn't appear as though Richardson is on the radar as far as the coaching staff is concerned.

It's unlikely he'll have fantasy value out of the gates, as he'll likely be playing limited minutes behind Desmond Bane, but he'll be a name to watch if Orlando experiences an injury to one of their backcourt players this season.
