While he's had a minimal role for the Hornets in recent weeks, he'll be available for Friday's game against the Mavericks and could see some playing time if Terry Rozier (foot) and Dennis Smith (illness) are sidelined.

Impact Bouknight hasn't played for the Hornets since Jan. 24 and picked up the right ankle sprain and some point while he was on assignment with the G League's Greensboro Swarm. Even with the Hornets out of playoff contention, the 2021 lottery pick doesn't look to be an NBA-ready contributor and is expected to see most of his opportunities in the G League whenever he moves past the ankle injury.

Impact Bouknight, Bryce McGowens and Theo Maledon have all been elevated and will be available for Monday's game against the Pistons. The 22-year-old will now be available for Charlotte's matchup against Boston on Sunday, but he's unlikely to garner a major role, as he's averaging just 4.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 13.9 minutes across 25 NBA appearances.
