Gonzalez had some flashes of production throughout his inaugural year, although he still went on to average only 3.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.3 blocks and 0.6 steals across 14.6 minutes in 74 regular-season contests. While he might see more action next season, he isn't expected to be productive enough to benefit fantasy managers, at least not consistently.

Impact Gonzalez would have been a favorite to start in the final game of the regular season. However, he won't suit up due to a bone bruise in his right foot. With the Celtics likely down all of their starters, Ron Harper might slide into the starting lineup.

However, Gonzalez's late addition to Boston's injury report doesn't bode well for his chances of playing in Sunday's regular-season finale. Jordan Walsh, Max Shulga, Ron Harper and Dalano Banton would all see a slight uptick in minutes if Gonzalez is not cleared to play.

Impact Gonzalez didn't suit up in the Celtics' previous two contests heading into Friday's meeting with the Pelicans. He logged over 20 minutes for the first time since the 104-102 loss to Oklahoma City on March 12, which was also his last double-digit scoring effort. With Boston locking up the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference for the playoffs, Gonzalez might find himself in the starting lineup for the season-finale versus Orlando. However, the 20-year-old could have a tough time getting on the floor during the postseason.

Impact The rookie first-round pick is averaging just 14.8 minutes per game, but he had been a consistent part of head coach Joe Mazzulla's rotation throughout the season until he fell out of the mix Wednesday. Mazzulla ended up going with Baylor Scheierman (18 minutes) and Jordan Walsh (five minutes) as the team's reserve options on the wing and at forward, resulting in Gonzalez being handed his first DNP-CD since Nov. 29. Gonzalez could eventually re-emerge as an option on the second unit, but he's unlikely to be in line for extended playing time if he reclaims a rotation spot.
