GAME LOG

Kevin Porter Jr. - Doubtful Thursday Porter (illness) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Clippers.
Impact Porter sat out Wednesday's game against the Suns due to an illness, and it appears as though he'll be forced to miss a second straight game ahead of the All-Star break. If he's ultimately held out, Dennis Schroder and Jalen Green should see additional run.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Not on injury report Wood (illness) isn't on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Clippers.
Impact Wood was unavailable Wednesday against the Suns due to an illness, but he should be back in action for the second half of the back-to-back set. He's averaged 16.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 31.4 minutes per game across his last five appearances.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Eric Gordon - Pops for 20 in loss Gordon scored 20 points (8-24 FG, 3-14 3Pt, 1-2 FT) while adding two rebounds, two assists and a block in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 124-121 loss to the Suns.
Impact Given his inefficiency, the Rockets might have been better off if some of Gordon's attempts went elsewhere, but shooters gonna shoot. It's the first time the veteran wing has reached 20 points since he dropped 31 on the Spurs on Jan. 12, and in 11 games since that outburst Gordon is averaging a sluggish 12.5 points, 3.0 boards, 1.9 threes and 1.7 assists, although he did miss a few games during that stretch with a heel injury.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Alperen Sengun - Big numbers in Wednesday's start Sengun scored 19 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 124-121 loss to the Suns.
Impact Getting the start in place of Christian Wood (illness), Sengun recorded his third double-double of the season, with the prior one coming Dec. 15. The teenage rookie continues to show flashes of the upside that made him the 16th overall pick in the 2021 Draft, but his erratic court time makes him a risky fantasy option outside of DFS play. Over his last 10 games, Sengun is averaging 9.1 points, 5.8 boards, 2.1 assists and 1.3 blocks in 21.9 minutes per game.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jae'Sean Tate - Double-double against Suns Tate scored 22 points (7-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT) while adding 10 rebounds and an assist in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 124-121 loss to the Suns.
Impact The double-double was Tate's seventh of the season and first in just over a month. Tate continues to be a solid contributor for the Rockets, averaging 12.7 points, 5.6 boards, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals across seven games in February.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dennis Schroder - Drops 23 in Wednesday's loss Schroder (Achilles) scored a team-high 23 points (7-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT) while adding nine assists, six rebounds, a steal and a block in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 124-121 lo...
Impact The 28-year-old wasn't even a sure bet to play Wednesday due to a minor Achilles issue, but Schroder not only suited up, he made a splash in his first start for the Rockets. With free agency looming in the offseason, Schroder has plenty of incentive to perform well down the stretch even on a Houston team that sits in the Western Conference basement. Expect his playing time to trend down in the future, however, as the Rockets were without starting point guard Kevin Porter (illness) for the front end of the back-to-back set.

Alperen Sengun - Starting for Wood Sengun will start Wednesday's game against the Suns, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact With Christian Wood (illness) sidelined, Sengun is set to make his fifth start of the season. The rookie is averaging 8.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists over 18.6 minutes per game this season.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dennis Schroder - Available, starting Wednesday Schroder (Achilles) is starting Wednesday's game at Phoenix, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact The 28-year-old was a game-time decision with right Achilles soreness Wednesday and will join the starting five with Kevin Porter (illness) sitting out. Schroder made his debut for the Rockets on Monday and had four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 18 minutes, though he should play a bigger role versus the Suns.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Out Wednesday Wood (illness) will not play in Wednesday's matchup with the Suns, Cayleigh Griffin of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.
Impact Wood will miss his first game since Jan. 3, and with Kevin Porter also ruled out, role players will likely have to step up on the offensive side of the ball. Alperen Sengun and Kenyon Martin are likely to see more opportunities in the frontcourt, while Eric Gordon and Jalen Green could also see heavier usage.
FEBRUARY 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Kevin Porter Jr. - Sitting out Wednesday Porter (illness) is unavailable for Wednesday's game at Phoenix, Adam Wexler of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Impact Porter will miss the front half of the back-to-back set Wednesday due to an illness, as will Christian Wood. Josh Christopher and newcomer Dennis Schroder (Achilles), if available, should see more time in the backcourt for Houston. Porter's availability for Thursday's matchup with the Clippers is also up in the air.

Kevin Porter Jr. - Questionable against Suns Porter is questionable for Wednesday's game against Phoenix due to an illness.
Impact Porter was held to just eight points during Monday's loss to the Jazz and is dealing with an illness ahead of Wednesday's matchup. If he's unavailable, Dennis Schroder (Achilles), Jalen Green and Josh Christopher could see additional run.
FEBRUARY 16, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dennis Schroder - Questionable for Wednesday's game Schroder is questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Suns due to soreness in his right Achilles.
Impact Schroder made his Rockets debut Monday and totaled four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five assists, three rebounds and one steal in 18 minutes. However, he appears to have picked up an injury as well. The Rockets have two remaining games -- including Wednesday -- before the All-Star break, but it's unclear if the backup point guard will be available for either contest.
FEBRUARY 16, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Questionable Wednesday Wood is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Suns due to an illness.
Impact Wood has posted two double-doubles in his last five appearances and has averaged 16.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 31.4 minutes per game during that time. If he's held out against Phoenix, Alperen Sengun, Kenyon Martin and Bruno Fernando should see an uptick in usage.

John Wall - Training in Miami Wall has recently been working on his conditioning and ramping up his workouts in Miami, but he's not expected to play for the Rockets at any point this season, Kelly Iko of The At...
Impact In late November, Wall met with the Houston brass about a potential return to team activities, but upon being informed that he wouldn't get the opportunity to compete for a starting role, the veteran point guard determined he was better off conducting workouts on his own in anticipation of a potential trade. The trade deadline has since come and gone without Wall being moved, and a potential buyout likely won't be in the cards unless the 31-year-old is willing to give up a significant portion of whatever remains of the $44.31 million he's owed in 2021-22 plus his $47.37 million player option for 2022-23. The financial obstacles mean that Wall may not end up playing this season unless he and the Rockets mutually agree to bring him back in the fold in a limited role off the bench behind young guards Kevin Porter and Jalen Green, whose development remains a bigger priority for the organization.
