Oladipo returns, Herro scores 31, Heat top Rockets 123-106

Victor Oladipo scored 11 points in in his first game in nearly a year, Tyler Herro scored 21 of his 31 points in the second quarter and the Miami Heat beat the Houston Rockets 123-...

Alperen Sengun - Enters starting five Sengun is starting Monday's game against Miami, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Sengun will be thrown into the starting mix with Christian Wood (illness) a late scratch Monday evening. His last start dates back to Feb. 16 against Phoenix, when he put up 19 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 28 minutes.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Late scratch Wood won't play in Monday's game against the Heat due to a non-COVID-19-related illness, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact This news broke just 15 minutes prior to tipoff, so this appears to be an issue that flared up at the last minute. Alperen Sengun will start in Wood's place. This marks just the sixth time this season that Wood won't be available.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Garrison Mathews - Starting Monday Mathews will start Monday's game against Miami, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Mathews will get the nod at small forward with Eric Gordon resting Monday. In 19 starts this season, Mathews is averaging 13.8 points and 2.9 made threes.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dennis Schroder - Out again Monday Schroder (ankle) will remain out for Monday's game against Miami, Adam Wexler of Sports Talk 790 in Houston reports.
Impact The guard was questionable coming in but will ultimately sit out for the fourth consecutive game. With Eric Gordon resting on the second night of a back-to-back, Garrison Mathews figures to pick up increased minutes alongside Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr.
MARCH 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dennis Schroder - Officially questionable again Schroder (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Heat, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact For the fourth straight game, the Rockets are listing Schroder as questionable, though he's ultimately been ruled out of the previous three as he manages a sprained right ankle. Look for a more definitive update closer to game time.
MARCH 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Eric Gordon - Ruled out Monday Gordon won't play in Monday's game against Miami due to a hamstring injury, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact As has been the case for most of the season, the Rockets will hold Gordon out for one half of a back-to-back set after he played 31 minutes in Sunday's surprising 123-112 win over Memphis. Garrison Mathews will likely enter the starting five Monday in place of Gordon, who finished Sunday's game with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and three turnovers in 31 minutes.
MARCH 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jalen Green - Continues run of improved shooting Green finished with 24 points (8-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-9 FT), eight rebounds and four assists across 35 minutes Sunday in the Rockets' 123-112 win over the Grizzlies.
Impact Though his showing from the free-throw line could have been better, Green has nonetheless continued to make strides with his overall efficiency after struggling as a shooter for the majority of his rookie campaign. He's still converting only 40 percent of his field goals for the season, but that rate has jumped to 46.7 percent -- including 36.7 percent from three-point range on seven attempts per game -- since the beginning of February. If Green can maintain this level of efficiency over the final five weeks of the season, managers in dynasty or keeper leagues in particular will have to be encouraged about his long-term outlook.

Jalen Green's maturation, along with Kevin Porter Jr. and Christian Wood's play, key in big Rockets win over Grizzlies Things are starting to come together for Houston's rookie with the ball in his hands outside of scoring. That's development the team needs.

Josh Christopher - Sees just 17 minutes in win Christopher posted eight points (4-6 FG), four rebounds and two assists across 17 minutes during Sunday's 123-112 victory over the Grizzlies.
Impact Christopher failed to see more than 20 minutes for the fifth time in his last six games as his fantasy value continues to plummet. The fact he has been unable to step things up, even with Dennis Schroder on the sideline, does not bode well for his role moving forward. Barring a number of injuries to key players, Christopher can be safely left on the wire in all moderately shallow formats.

Miami puts home win streak on the line against Houston

MARCH 7, 2022 • Associated Press
Kevin Porter Jr. - Leads all scorers with 29 points Porter finished with 29 points (11-21 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 3-5 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one block over 37 minutes during Sunday's 123-112 win over Memphis.
Impact Porter scored at least 20 points for just the seventh time this season, helping the Rockets to arguably their best win. While highlights have been few and far between for Porter, he has at least flashed some upside over the past few games, seeing 30-plus minutes in his past three contests while totaling 54 points and 20 assists in that span. His percentages are typically a huge negative, dragging down his overall fantasy value. If you are actively punting both percentage categories, Porter certainly does enough elsewhere to warrant a roster spot.
MARCH 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Another double-double Sunday Wood posted 28 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 8-11 FT), 13 rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 123-112 victory over the Grizzlies.
Impact Wood kept his foot on the gas Sunday, putting up his third straight 20-10 game. While his recent numbers have been just what managers had been hoping for all season, his shooting from the free-throw line has been a real talking point. He is 16-of-19 over his past two games, a huge improvement on his season-long rate (60.8 percent on 4.9 attempts per game). The two-game stretch is obviously a small sample size, so ideally, Wood will show some sustained efficiency from the stripe before managers can depend on him not being a major negative in that category.

Dennis Schroder - Ruled out Sunday Schroder (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Grizzlies, Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston reports.
Impact Schroder is slated to miss his third straight game due to a right ankle sprain. Josh Christopher and Garrison Mathews should continue to see additional playing time.

Dennis Schroder - Questionable Sunday Schroder (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact Schroder has missed the last two games due to a right ankle sprain, but he'll have a chance to return against Memphis. If he's held out, Josh Christopher and Garrison Mathews should continue to see additional playing time.
MARCH 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jalen Green - Solid output against Denver Green registered 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one block in 32 minutes during Friday's 116-101 loss to the Nuggets.
Impact Green couldn't repeat the 27-point output he delivered against the Jazz earlier this week, but he still ended with a decent stat line across the board. He has scored over 15 points in each of his last three contests and has averaged 17.7 points since the beginning of February.
MARCH 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Alperen Sengun - Double-doubles off bench Sengun ended with 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 22 minutes during Friday's 116-101 loss to the Nuggets.
Impact Sengun continues to play well off the bench and has scored in double digits in three of the last four contests, though this was his first double-double since mid-February. The rookie has four double-doubles on the season and should remain productive off the bench, though fantasy managers need to be aware of the inconsistencies he might endure, both due to his role and due to the fact that he's a rookie.
MARCH 5, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Second straight double-double Wood posted 22 points (7-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists and one block over 31 minutes during Friday's 116-101 loss to the Nuggets.
Impact Wood surpassed the 20-point mark while grabbing 10 rebounds for the second game in a row, and the star big man has posted three double-doubles over his last five appearances. The former Pistons star continues to be an excellent fantasy asset regardless of the format due to his impressive two-way ability. Since the start of February, Wood has averaged 18.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 blocks per tilt.
