GAME LOG

Eric Gordon - Will start Wednesday Gordon is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Gordon will rejoin the starting five after missing Monday's game against the Heat due to a hamstring injury. As a result, Garrison Mathews will move to the bench. Gordon is averaging 13.9 points, 2.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 29.6 minutes per game this season.
MARCH 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
KJ Martin Jr. - Joins starting five Martin will start Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports.
Impact The 21-year-old will make his first start of the season Wednesday with Christian Wood (illness) and Jae'Sean Tate (ankle) ruled out for the contest. Martin has averaged 10.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 24.4 minutes over the past five games, but he should be in line for more run versus Los Angeles given Houston's absences in the frontcourt.
MARCH 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dennis Schroder - Set to return Wednesday Schroder (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports.
Impact Schroder has missed the last four games due to a sprained left ankle, but he'll return to the court for Wednesday's tilt with the Lakers. Since joining the Rockets, the veteran has averaged 10.8 points, 7.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds over 30.7 minutes per game.
MARCH 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Out Wednesday Wood (illness) is out Wednesday against the Lakers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Wood will miss a second straight game, and Jae'Sean Tate (ankle) is also sidelined, making the Rockets thin in the frontcourt. Alperen Sengun, Kenyon Martin and David Nwaba are in line for more minutes.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jae'Sean Tate - Out vs. Lakers Tate (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Houston is quite shorthanded in the frontcourt, as Christian Wood (illness) is also sidelined. That could lead to more minutes for Alperen Sengun, Kenyon Martin and David Nwaba.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Garrison Mathews - Not listed on injury report Mathews (ankle) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Wednesday's game against the Lakers.
Impact As expected, Mathews will continue to play through a sprained ankle that has plagued him for the past couple of weeks. However, after starting Houston's last contest, he's expected to return to his usual reserve role with Eric Gordon (hamstring) clear of the injury report.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Happy with his role and fit, Rockets' Dennis Schröder hopes to return from ankle injury He's unsure if he'll be ready to play against the Lakers on Wednesday.
MARCH 9, 2022 • HOUSTONCHRONICLE.COM
Dennis Schroder - 'Not sure' if he'll play Wednesday Schroder (ankle) said he's "not sure" if he can play Wednesday against the Lakers, but he's going to "try to give it a shot in warmups," Mark Berman of Fox 26 Houston reports.
Impact Schroder, who is listed as questionable, doesn't sound optimistic about his chances of being available and appears headed for a fifth straight absence. If that's indeed the case, expect Eric Gordon, Josh Christopher and Garrison Mathews to absorb the majority of Schroder's minutes.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Garrison Mathews - Says he's good to go Wednesday Mathews (ankle) participated in the Hawks' morning shootaround and said he was good to go for Wednesday's matchup with the Bucks, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Mathews, who is listed as questionable, has played through the ankle sprain over the past couple of weeks, but he apparently tweaked the injury during Monday's loss to Miami. If he is available, he'll likely return to his usual bench role with Eric Gordon (hamstring) clear of the injury report.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Misses shootaround Wood (illness) didn't participate in the Rockets' morning shootaround and remains questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Cayleigh Griffin of AT&T SportsNet Southwest...
Impact Wood was unavailable for Monday's loss to the Heat due to a non-COVID-19-related illness. If he remains out for a second straight contest, Alperen Sengun will likely draw another start.

Dennis Schroder - Questionable vs. Lakers Schroder (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Lakers.
Impact A sprained left ankle has kept Schroder out for the past four games. Since joining Houston, he's averaged 10.8 points, 7.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in 30.7 minutes. He likely won't reach that minutes mark Wednesday if cleared to play, however, since both Kevin Porter and Jalen Green are available.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Garrison Mathews - Dealing with sprained ankle Mathews has a sprained left ankle and is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact Mathews has played through the ankle sprain over the past couple weeks and apparently tweaked the injury during Monday's loss to Miami, when he started and put up zero points (0-5 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one assist and two steals in 20 minutes. Even if available Wednesday he may come off the bench with Eric Gordon (hamstring) clear of the injury report.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Jae'Sean Tate - Questionable with ankle soreness Tate is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers due to soreness in his left ankle, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact Tate suffered the injury during the March 2 loss to the Jazz but didn't have an injury designation for any of the past three contests. He averaged only 6.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 25.0 minutes during that three-game stretch, and his availability for Wednesday's matchup with Los Angeles is now in question.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Christian Wood - Questionable for Wednesday Wood (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact Wood was a late scratch for Monday's loss to the Heat due to a non-COVID-19 illness, and his availability remains up in the air for Wednesday's contest. Alperen Sengun is likely to receive another start at center should Wood miss his second consecutive game.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Eric Gordon - Clear of injury report Gordon (hamstring) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Alykhan Bijani of The Athletic reports.
Impact Gordon sat out the second half of a back-to-back set Monday against the Heat, and he's unsurprisingly good to go for Wednesday's contest. The veteran guard has averaged 12.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 30.7 minutes while shooting 38 percent from the field over his past seven games.

How will Lakers manage LeBron James' knee soreness?
Garrison Mathews - Scoreless in start Mathews produced zero points (0-5 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one assist and two steals in 20 minutes during Monday's 123-106 loss to Miami.
Impact Mathews drew the start with Eric Gordon resting, but he struggled from deep and played fewer minutes than reserves Josh Christopher (28 minutes) and Daishen Nix (23). The third-year pro came into the contest averaging 13.8 points and 4.1 rebounds across 19 games as a starter, so the scoreless performance was certainly disappointing. He'll look to bounce back Wednesday against the Lakers, though he'll likely be back to a reserve role with Gordon expected to be available.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Daishen Nix - Part of rotation Monday Nix finished with seven points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, four assists and one steal across 23 minutes during Monday's 123-106 loss to Miami.
Impact With Eric Gordon (rest) out, Nix played 20-plus minutes for just the second time all season and for the first time since Dec. 27. The undrafted rookie dished out a career-high four assists and scored his most points since totaling 13 (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) across 12 minutes during a Jan. 1 loss to Denver. It's unclear if Nix will remain in the rotation during Wednesday's matchup with the Lakers.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Alperen Sengun - Near double-double in spot start Sengun posted 13 points (5-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block across 30 minutes during Monday's 123-106 loss to the Heat.
Impact Sengun was thrown into the starting mix with Christian Wood (illness) a late scratch. The rookie's production was proficient, but he lacks the prolific potential that Wood brings on a game-by-game basis. Either way, Sengun has still been worthy of fantasy consideration as a reserve this season, though only in deeper leagues. Over his last five games, Sengun has averaged 9.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals in 22.8 minutes per game.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
KJ Martin Jr. - Efficient performance off bench Martin provided 14 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals in 33 minutes during Monday's 123-106 loss to the Heat.
Impact Martin bounced back from a two-point effort in his last outing to notch his 27th double-digit scoring performance of the season. He also registered a season-high three steals during the loss. He played 30-plus minutes for just the fourth time during the campaign.
MARCH 8, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Josh Christopher - Solid production in loss Christopher logged 16 points (6-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 28 minutes during Monday's 123-106 loss to Miami.
Impact Christopher scored in double figures for the first time since Feb. 17 and scored his most points since Feb. 4. While Garrison Mathews drew the start with Eric Gordon (rest) out, Christopher played more minutes than Mathews and significantly outproduced him as a reserve. The rookie out of Arizona State will look to build off Monday's performance against the Lakers on Wednesday.
