INJURIES

Limited again in win Santos finished with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds and two steals over seven minutes during Saturday's 119-116 win over Phoenix.
Impact Santos played fewer than 10 minutes for the third time in the past four games, another in a string of unpredictable performances. Steve Kerr is arguably the worst coach when it comes to fantasy, with his nightly rotation a mystery, perhaps even for the players. At this stage, there is no reason to consider Santos, even in deeper formats.

Golden State faces Phoenix, seeks to end 3-game slide

Paces bench in win Santos provided 14 points (3-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block across 26 minutes during Saturday's 99-94 victory over the Cavaliers.
Impact The 23-year-old got to the charity stripe often and provided a spark off the bench, finishing as Golden State's second-leading scorer behind Pat Spencer (19). Although Santos was efficient from downtown and set a new season high in scoring, his 14 points marked his first outing in double figures across 17 regular-season appearances. The third-year forward hasn't been a consistent part of the Warriors' rotation of late, and he isn't guaranteed to see the floor when the team is at full strength.

Pat Spencer scores career-high 19 in first NBA start as Warriors beat Cavaliers 99-94

Pat Spencer scored a career-high 19 points in his first NBA start, leading the Golden State Warriors to a 99-94 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night

Sees 12 minutes Santos chipped in four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 12 minutes during Thursday's 99-98 loss to the 76ers.
Impact Jimmy Butler (knee) joined a growing injury report in Golden State, allowing Santos to sneak back into the edge of the rotation. Santos has 16 appearances to his name this season, but he's averaged just 7.6 minutes per contest.
DECEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Brought back to NBA squad The Warriors recalled Santos from the G League on Wednesday.
Impact The Warriors sent Santos, De'Anthony Melton (knee) and Jonathan Kuminga (knee) to the G League to participate in a scrimmage earlier Wednesday, and the trio has rejoined the NBA club after partaking in the scrimmage. Santos has become a fringe rotation piece recently.
NOVEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Assigned to G League Golden State assigned Santos to the G League's Santa Cruz Warriors on Wednesday, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Impact With Santos falling out of Golden State's rotation, this move makes a lot of sense in order for the forward to see some live reps.
NOVEMBER 26 • ROTOWIRE
Slides back to bench Santos isn't part of the starting lineup for Friday's game against Portland.
Impact Santos made a spot start Wednesday, but he'll return to the second unit Friday. The 23-year-old played 18 minutes in the start, and he hadn't seen more than 12 minutes in a game previously.
NOVEMBER 22 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Wednesday Santos is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Miami, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Santos will make his first start of the campaign Wednesday, stepping into the first unit due to the absences of Jimmy Butler (back), Draymond Green (illness), Jonathan Kuminga (knee) and Al Horford (toe). Santos hasn't logged more than 12 minutes in a game this season.
NOVEMBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Logs 11 minutes in loss Santos supplied five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist over 11 minutes in Saturday's 114-109 loss to Indiana.
Impact Santos logged double-digit minutes for just the second time this season Saturday and made the most of his opportunity, converting both of his field-goal attempts and finishing with a plus-six plus-minus. The forward has appeared in six of Golden State's seven games to start the year, averaging 2.2 points and 1.0 rebounds in 6.7 minutes per contest.
NOVEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet outing in preseason finale Santos added seven points (3-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds, an assist and a steal over 23 minutes in Friday's 106-103 loss to the Clippers.
Impact Despite tying with Buddy Hield to lead the bench unit in minutes played, Santos did not capitalize on the opportunity, despite having an efficient outing. Santos will likely be backing up Draymond Green at the power forward position to start the season, but will have to contend with Jonathan Kuminga, Gary Payton and Buddy Hield for playing time.

The Golden State Warriors exercised team options for center Quinten Post and forward Gui Santos and extended a qualifying offer of $7.9 million to forward Jonathan Kuminga

Staying in Golden State The Warriors exercised Santos' $2.2 million team option Sunday.
Impact Santos saw his playing time increase significantly at the start of the new year. He finished the 2024-25 regular season averaging 4.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 13.6 minutes per game in 56 contests (two starts). The 2022 second-round pick will likely be on the Warriors' summer league squad and will look to play well enough to earn a larger role in the rotation for the 2025-26 campaign.

Impact After barely touching the floor in the postseason prior to Wednesday, coach Steve Kerr mixed things up and gave Santos a shot, but he wasn't able to make much noise. As for the regular season, Santos was mostly an end-of-bench rotation player, making 56 appearances with 4.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists on 45.8 percent shooting in 13.6 minutes per contest. The Warriors hold a $2.2 million option on Santos for 2025-26.
MAY 15 • ROTOWIRE
Fares well off bench Santos amassed four points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists and two steals in 24 minutes during Sunday's 148-106 win over San Antonio.
Impact Although he struggled shooting the ball, Santos made a strong impact on the game elsewhere. Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) left this game early, meaning Santos could see more run in the short term. He's only worth monitoring in very deep leagues, however, as his usage rate is very low.
MARCH 31 • ROTOWIRE
Makes most of minutes Santos registered 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt) and three rebounds over 20 minutes during Tuesday's 112-86 loss to the Heat.
Impact Even though Santos' minutes and role off the bench have been inconsistent in recent weeks, there's no question he made the most of his minutes in this one while making his presence felt as a shooter. Santos has scored in double digits just four times since the All-Star break, though, so it's hard to rely on him for consistent fantasy production, especially considering he has a relatively minor role off the bench in the current rotation.

Heat roll past Warriors in Butler's return game, winning 112-86

Bam Adebayo scored 27 points, Tyler Herro scored 20 and the Miami Heat spoiled Jimmy Butler’s return game with a one-sided 112-86 win over the Golden State Warriors

Retreating to bench Monday Santos will come off the bench during Monday's game against Denver, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Impact Quinten Post will supplant Santos in the starting five on Monday. The 22-year-old swingman was fairly quiet during his spot start in Saturday's win over the Knicks, during which he recorded five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and seven rebounds in 21 minutes.
MARCH 18 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in spot start Santos recorded five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and seven rebounds in 21 minutes during Saturday's 97-94 win over the Knicks.
Impact Santos moved into the starting lineup, with Draymond Green shifting to the center spot, resulting in Quentin Post sliding to the bench. Despite the promotion, Santos struggled to deliver anything of note, tallying single-digits for the fifth time in the past seven games. While he has managed to carve out a somewhat consistent role for himself, Santos remains more of a placeholder than a valuable piece.
