Impact Baugh provided a much more efficient performance after struggling in Congo DR's loss to Angola earlier in the qualifying window, though he committed seven turnovers against Mali. The 26-year-old won't be returning to the NBA in 2026-27 after signing a two-year contract with Baskonia earlier this month.

Waived by Hornets The Hornets waived Baugh on Friday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Impact The move clears a spot on Charlotte's roster for Antonio Reeves, who has joined the team on a two-way contract. Baugh most recently played in the Summer League with the Hornets, averaging 7.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 19.2 minutes per game over six outings. He'll hope to latch onto another club elsewhere as backcourt depth ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Returns from three-game absence Baugh (hip) tallied five points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 21 minutes in Wednesday's 126-96 loss to the Raptors.

Impact After missing the Hornets' previous three games due to left hip bursitis, Baugh returned to action and took on a sizable role on the second unit, but he made a limited impact during his time on the court and tied for a team high with four turnovers. Efficiency has been a major issue for the two-way player over his 13 appearances at the NBA level thus far; he's shooting just 32.7 percent from the field and owns a 3.6:2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Will be playing Wednesday Baugh (hip) is available for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

Impact Baugh was initially listed as questionable for this contest due to a left hip injury, but the former TCU standout has been listed as active and should see regular minutes off the bench in his return from a three-game absence. Baugh has made seven appearances since the beginning of March, averaging 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists across 24.0 minutes per game in that span.

Impact Baugh missed his 13th outing out of Charlotte's last 15 games Tuesday versus the Grizzlies, but he's trending towards a return to action. With the Hornets going to be very shorthanded Wednesday, Baugh could potentially see a healthy amount of minutes.

Impact Baugh went airborne and landed on the hardwood in significant pain before being carried off the floor into the locker room. Injury specifics are unknown at this point, but his next chance to play will be Friday against Sacramento. Considering the Hornets' backcourt is littered with injuries, Baugh has plenty of opportunities for minutes when healthy.

Heads back to locker room Baugh was carried back to the locker room during Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Tony East of WTHR Channel 13 Indianapolis reports.

Impact Specifics regarding Baugh's injury are unknown, but he appeared to be in significant pain. The two-way player had been called up for Wednesday's game to provide the injury-plagued Hornets some backcourt depth. It's unclear if he'll be able to return but look for KJ Simpson and Josh Okogie to see more minutes while Baugh is off the floor.

Rejoins parent club The Hornets recalled Baugh from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Wednesday.

Impact Baugh hadn't been available for any of the Hornets' last seven games, as Charlotte had assigned him to the G League since he was eligible to suit up in just seven games at the NBA level for the rest of the season due to his status as a two-way player. Now that Charlotte has just seven games remaining on its schedule, Baugh will rejoin the club and will be available to play in all of those contests. He could end up splitting the minutes at point guard the rest of the way with fellow two-way player KJ Simpson, who has started the past three contests while the Hornets have shut LaMelo Ball (wrist/ankle) down for the season. Baugh has appeared in 11 games (two starts) for Charlotte this season, shooting 35 percent from the field while averaging 8.3 points, 3.9 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.9 three-pointers in 26.1 minutes per contest.

Not starting vs. New York Baugh is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Knicks.

Impact Baugh will return to the bench role due to the return of LaMelo Ball (wrist). Baugh shouldn't carry a lot of upside coming off the bench.

Getting starting nod Baugh is in the starting five for Tuesday's game versus the Hawks.

Impact Baugh will enter the starting five Tuesday due to LaMelo Ball (wrist) sitting out. Baugh tallied 14 points, four assists and two rebounds in 29 minutes during his only start this season.

MARCH 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Recalled from Swarm Charlotte recalled Baugh from the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Tuesday.

Impact With LaMelo Ball (wrist) questionable for Tuesday's game, this move makes sense to give the team some emergency depth. In 10 appearances for Charlotte, Baugh holds averages of 8.0 points, 3.8 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

MARCH 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Inactive in Tuesday's win Baugh (coach's decision) was inactive Tuesday in the Hornets' 105-102 win over the Heat.

Impact Baugh went from starting and playing 29 minutes in the Hornets' previous game Saturday versus the Nets to out of the rotation entirely two days later with LaMelo Ball (ankle) making his return to action. A two-way player, Baugh is eligible to be active for just eight of the Hornets' remaining 18 games, so Charlotte may look to have the 24-year-old suit up primarily on occasions that the team is shorthanded in the backcourt. Before sitting out Monday, Baugh had played in each of Charlotte's previous eight games, averaging 6.3 points, 3.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 24.4 minutes per contest while shooting 27.4 percent from the field.
