Zaccharie Risacher's issues should make Jazz feel better about Cody Williams
Williams taking a leap forward is good enough news on its own for Utah. Risacher's growing pains is even better news.

Strong end to regular season
Williams registered 14 points (5-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two steals across 39 minutes during Sunday's 131-107 loss to the Lakers.
Impact
Williams was one of several Utah players who experienced growth as the season went on, though his improvements after the All-Star break were noticeable -- both in the eye test and in the stats across the board. Williams averaged 8.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in his sophomore year in the NBA, but when considering only the games after the All-Star break, the former Colorado standout averaged 13.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists per contest. There was marked progress for Williams throughout the season after a difficult rookie season in 2024-25.

Rough shooting effort Friday
Williams had 14 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT), three rebounds and five assists in 34 minutes during Friday's 147-101 victory over the Grizzlies.
Impact
Williams didn't have a horrible showing Friday. However, he still had trouble finding the bottom of the net, which has been a recurring theme of late. With only one more game left on the regular-season schedule for Utah, Williams will presumably remain in the starting lineup in Sunday's meeting with the Lakers, assuming Isaiah Collier (hamstring) and Keyonte George (hamstring) remain on the shelf.

Strong line in loss to Houston
Williams ended with 27 points (10-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-10 FT), 11 rebounds and four assists across 38 minutes during Friday's 140-106 loss to the Rockets.
Impact
It took him nearly two full seasons in the NBA, but Williams is finally showing the potential that made him the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. The former Colorado standout remains a bit inconsistent, but he's scored at least 24 points in four of his last six games and has posted double-digit points in 12 of his 17 appearances since the beginning of March. Williams is undoubtedly ending the season on the most prolific stretch of his young career.

Lands 26 points in loss
Williams ended Monday's 122-113 loss to the Cavaliers with 26 points (11-22 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals over 37 minutes.
Impact
Williams scored at least 24 points for the third time in his past four games, continuing to play a sizeable role for a team that certainly has both eyes on the future. However, despite his recent scoring splurge, Williams' overall fantasy value remains somewhat underwhelming. During that four-game span, he has been outside the top 200 in standard formats, averaging 18.5 points in 33.3 minutes per contest.

Another 24-point effort in loss
Williams amassed 24 points (9-14 FG, 6-7 FT), seven assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Friday's 135-129 loss to the Nuggets.
Impact
Williams has posted 24 points in back-to-back games for the Jazz, but Utah suffered losses in both contests. Still, the uptick in performances from the second-year forward out of Colorado is worth highlighting. He has scored in double digits in all but one of his last 11 games, averaging 17.6 points per game in that stretch, but things have been even better in recent weeks. Williams has also scored at least 23 points in four of his last six games, and he seems to be growing in confidence with each passing game. This is clearly a promising end of the season for the former first-round pick, who could be a worthy addition for your fantasy playoffs if he's still available on the wire.

Drops 24 points in return
Williams notched 24 points (11-20 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 133-110 loss to the Wizards.
Impact
Williams returned after a one-game absence due to a minor shoulder concern, scoring at least 20 points for the third time in his past five appearances. Silly season has been a real highlight for Williams, allowing him to play a sizeable role for a team with no reason to limit him down the stretch. In six games over the past two weeks, he has delivered healthy numbers, averaging 20.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 33.2 minutes per contest.

Will play Wednesday
Williams (shoulder) is available for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.

Iffy for Wednesday
Williams (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
Impact
Williams could miss a second straight game due to right shoulder soreness. If the second-year swingman joins Brice Sensabaugh (rest) on the sidelines, Bez Mbeng, John Konchar and Kennedy Chandler would be candidates to see increased playing time.

Out Monday
Williams (shoulder) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Toronto.
Impact
Williams was downgraded from questionable to doubtful earlier Monday, so the fact that he's now been ruled out isn't much of a surprise. His next opportunity to play will arrive Wednesday against the Wizards.

Downgraded to doubtful
Williams (shoulder) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Raptors.
Impact
Right shoulder soreness is likely to result in Williams' first absence since the Jan. 28 loss to the Warriors. With the swingman expected to be out Monday, John Konchar and Bez Mbeng should help soak up extra minutes.

Iffy for Monday
Williams (shoulder) is questionable for Monday's game against the Raptors.
Impact
The second-year forward is day-to-day with shoulder soreness. If Williams is unable to give it a go, the Jazz will likely lean more on guys like Elijah Harkless and John Konchar.

Strikes for 23 in rout
Williams totaled 23 points (10-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Thursday's 128-96 victory over the Bucks.
Impact
The second-year wing failed to reach 30 minutes for a second straight game, but this time it's because Utah emptied its bench in the fourth quarter of a rout, rather than Williams' own poor performance. The 10th overall pick in the 2024 Draft has scored in double digits in seven of the last eight games as he handles elevated court time and usage for the shorthanded Jazz, averaging 16.4 points, 5.1 boards, 4.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 threes in 35.0 minutes over that stretch while shooting 53.2 percent from the floor.

Crashes back to earth in loss
Williams contributed seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 147-111 loss to the Timberwolves.
Impact
Williams was unable to repeat his 34-point performance from three nights earlier, instead turning in arguably his worst performance in the past two weeks. With that said, Williams' role appears relatively safe. In seven appearances over the past two weeks, he has been a top 100 talent in standard leagues, averaging 15.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 three-pointers.

Erupts for career-high 34 in loss
Williams totaled 34 points (12-20 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal in 38 minutes during Sunday's 116-111 loss to the Kings.
Impact
The second-year wing led the Utah offense on the night and shattered his previous career scoring high of 19, set Friday in Portland. Williams has taken on a much larger role for the injury-ravaged Jazz in March, playing at least 36 minutes in six straight games while averaging 16.8 points, 5.5 boards, 5.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 threes and shooting 51.4 percent from the floor.
