Sheds crutches Hepburn (knee) was spotted Wednesday no longer using crutches, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.

Impact Hepburn underwent surgery in January to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, and while it's unclear how close he is to making a return, ditching the crutches is a significant improvement in his recovery. The rookie two-way player has appeared in just two NBA games this season.

Double-doubles in G League Hepburn produced 17 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 15 assists, two rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes of Wednesday's 115-108 G League win over the Delaware Blue Coats.

Impact Hepburn is nearly averaging a double-double across 11 appearances with 12.8 points, 9.2 assists and 1.9 rebounds. He's also been sound defensively with 2.4 steals per contest.

Impact Hepburn saw a handful of extra playing time, logging a career-high eight minutes. Sadly, that's where the positives end, as Hepburn offered basically nothing in terms of tangible production. There is almost no chance he carves out a consistent role for himself, at least not for the foreseeable future. At this point, his only value might be in dynasty leagues.

Impact Hepburn struggled in the shooting department, going 36.6 percent from the field. However, he made up for it by filling up the stat sheet, leading the way for his squad off the bench in rebounds and steals.
