Playing well since return Anthony put up 17 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 30 minutes off the bench Monday in the Lakers' 117-110 loss to the Spurs.

Impact Though Anthony's ability to overcome hamstring injury following the All-Star break has given the Lakers a much-needed secondary scorer while Anthony Davis (foot) remains out of the lineup, the future Hall of Famer's return hasn't meant much from a wins-and-losses perspective. Still, in his six games since returning, Anthony has reached double figures in the scoring column each time out, averaging 15.8 points per game. However, it's been his efficiency (52.3 percent from the field and 94.1 percent from the free-throw line) that's been a nice surprise, and his defensive numbers (1.2 blocks and 1.0 steals per game) are an added bonus. The consistent blocks production actually might be somewhat sustainable, given that the Lakers haven't leaned heavily on Dwight Howard or other traditional centers while Davis has been out and are instead comfortable with turning to Anthony and LeBron James (knee) as the last line of defense at the rim.
