Another double-double Thursday
Barnhizer finished with 21 points (8-16 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-5 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 29 minutes in Thursday's 97-87 loss to Dallas.
Impact
Barnhizer had his most productive game of the Las Vegas Summer League on Thursday while recording his third double-double. The 24-year-old appeared in 40 regular-season games for the Thunder during the 2025-26 campaign, averaging 1.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.1 blocks and 0.3 steals over 8.7 minutes. Barnhizer will presumably spend most of his time in the G League in 2026-27. While that doesn't mean he won't see action with the Thunder, he will likely be utilized sparingly.

Double-doubles in SL loss
Barnhizer recorded 12 points (3-7 FG, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 24 minutes in Friday's 96-84 Summer League loss to the Lakers.
Impact
Barnhizer wasn't very aggressive hunting his shot but still scored in double figures. Additionally, the 24-year-old forward grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds and tied for the team lead in steals. He's recorded back-to-back double-doubles and has scored in double figures in three of his four appearances between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas this summer.

Double-doubles in SL loss
Barnhizer logged 15 points (5-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 103-69 Salt Lake City Summer League loss to the Jazz.
Impact
Barnhizer got off to a strong start in this one, scoring 13 points on 4-of-4 shooting from the field in the first half. However, he struggled mightily in the second half, during which he shot just 1-for-8 from the floor. The 24-year-old forward still finished as the Thunder's third-leading scorer and also led the team in rebounds.

Scores 13 in blowout loss
Barnhizer finished with 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one turnover in 20 minutes of Sunday's 111-74 Summer League loss to the Grizzlies.
Impact
Barnhizer was one of the few bright spots in this blowout loss. The Thunder extended Barnhizer a two-way qualifying offer back on June 29, and the franchise is likely looking to have him be a featured player for their G League affiliate.

ROTOWIRE
Extended qualifying offer
The Thunder tendered a two-way qualifying offer to Barnhizer on Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Impact
Barnhizer can still seek a better deal elsewhere as a restricted free agent. The 24-year-old forward appeared in 40 regular-season games during his rookie campaign, averaging 1.7 points and 2.0 rebounds across 8.7 minutes per contest.

Career-high in minutes Friday
Barnhizer accumulated 14 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two steals over 33 minutes during Friday's 127-107 loss to the Nuggets.
Impact
Barnhizer fell one rebound short of a double-double while logging a career-high 33 minutes. With the Thunder potentially resting their starters again in Sunday's meeting with the Suns, there's a good chance Barnhizer will see significantly more than the 8.3 minutes he averaged in his 39 regular-season appearances.

Back with parent club
The Thunder list Barnhizer (undisclosed) as available for Sunday's game against the Knicks.
Impact
Barnhizer didn't play in either of the G League Oklahoma City Blue's final two games of the season due to an unspecified issue, but he's since rejoined the parent club. While he remains signed to a two-way contract, Barnhizer will only be available for the Thunder through the rest of the regular season. He's unlikely to see many opportunities over the final two weeks, unless Oklahoma City has already clinched the Western Conference's No. 1 seed and elects to rest several key rotation players in its final few games.

Gets garbage time minutes Wednesday
Barnhizer played the final 12 minutes of Wednesday's 121-92 win over the Nets, finishing with three rebounds.
Impact
After a stint in the G League with the Oklahoma City Blue, Barnhizer rejoined an undermanned parent club Wednesday for the second leg of the back-to-back set. Even with six players sitting out, Barnhizer wasn't included in the rotation, as all of his playing time came while Oklahoma City sat on a comfortable lead.

Enters rotation in Friday's win
Barnhizer played seven minutes off the bench in Friday's 117-116 win over the Grizzlies, finishing with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds.
Impact
After recently recovering from a left ankle sprain, Barnhizer got the chance to make his first appearance for the Thunder since Dec. 25 while Oklahoma City was without seven players due to injury. Assuming the Thunder get at least one of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle), Chet Holmgren (shins) or Cason Wallace (toe) back for their next game Sunday versus the Heat, Barnhizer will likely drop back out of the rotation. Barnhizer is on a two-way deal with the Thunder and could soon be assigned to the G League's Oklahoma City Blue in order to pick up more extended minutes.

ROTOWIRE
Sits out in coach's decision
Barnhizer (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Wednesday's 129-125 overtime win over the Jazz.
Impact
The two-way player had most recently missed four consecutive games in the G League due to a left ankle sprain, but he was deemed healthy enough to rejoin the Thunder ahead of Wednesday's contest. Even though Oklahoma City had just 12 players available against Utah, Barnhizer and fellow two-way player Chris Youngblood didn't end up seeing any run while head coach Mark Daigneault went with a 10-man rotation in the close win. Once the Thunder get another player or two back from injury, Barnhizer will likely head back to the G League in order to see regular minutes.

ROTOWIRE
Muted role continues
Barnhizer provided two points (1-1 FG), two rebounds and one assist across seven minutes during Monday's 126-109 win over New Orleans.
Impact
Barnhizer continues to play limited minutes off the bench, having exceeded 15 minutes only once in the past seven games. Much of his production has come during garbage time, a common situation given the dominance Oklahoma City has displayed thus far. He should continue to hover around the backend of the rotation, making him a non-factor in all fantasy formats.

Sees 14 minutes in win
Barnhizer chipped in two points (1-2 FG) and three rebounds over 14 minutes during Thursday's 141-135 double-overtime win over Indiana.
Impact
The Thunder have a number of injuries right now, allowing Barnhizer to see some run at the back end of the rotation. The No. 44 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Barnhizer has averaged 8.3 minutes through two games to open the regular season, and he's likely to fall completely out of the mix once the team gets some reinforcements.

Double-doubles in 28 minutes

Impact
Barnhizer got some extended run in this one with Jalen Williams (wrist), Isaiah Joe (knee) and Chet Holmgren (shoulder) unavailable, and he made the most of the opportunity. However, he'll have a limited reserve role when the regular season begins, so he can go undrafted in the vast majority of leagues.

Won't start Tuesday
Barnhizer won't start in Tuesday's preseason game against the Bucks, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Impact
Barnhizer will come off the bench after getting the spot start in Saturday's loss to Indiana. He tallied 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-5 FT), 11 rebounds, two steals and one assist across 38 minutes Saturday.

Double-doubles in win
Barnhizer racked up 14 points (5-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-5 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals across 38 minutes during Saturday's 116-101 preseason win over the Thunder.
Impact
Barnhizer took advantage of his massive 38-minute workload Saturday, as he filled up the stat sheet. Along with recording a double-double with his points and rebounds, he also made an impact defensively with a couple of swipes.

Promoted to starting role
Barnhizer is in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason game against the Pacers.
Impact
The Thunder will be depleted for this preseason tune-up, and Barnhizer will have the chance to get an extended run to see what he can do. However, he's not expected to play a big role in the rotation in the regular season.

Returning to bench
Barnhizer will come off the bench in Thursday's preseason game against Charlotte, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Impact
Barnhizer will retreat to the bench after putting together a 16-point performance Monday against the Mavs. The Thunder will give the usual starters minutes Thursday evening, as Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso and Isaiah Hartenstein draw the start in the frontcourt.

Leads Oklahoma City in spot start
Barnhizer recorded 16 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal across 37 minutes in Monday's 106-89 preseason loss to the Mavericks.
Impact
Barnhizer got the starting nod with just nine players available in the second leg of the team's back-to-back set. The two-way player provided a game high in scoring and also tied the game-best mark in rebounds. The Northwestern product is expected to spend most of his time with the Thunder's G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue, in the 2025-26 campaign.

Barnhizer will start in Monday's preseason game against the Mavericks, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports.
Impact
With the Thunder resting several players in the second half of the team's back-to-back set, Barnhizer will get the starting nod against Dallas. The two-way player recorded six points (1-2 FG, 4-5 FT), four steals, three rebounds, one assist and one block across 25 minutes in Sunday's win over the Hornets.
