Perhaps the most dramatic NHRA crash of 2016 took place back in April at the Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas.
NHRA Pro Mod driver Sidnei Frigo had to be airlifted to the Memorial Hermann Hospital following a scary incident during the second qualifying round for the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series on Friday, April 29.

Frigo lost control of his Corvette during the run and ended up clearing the wall on the left side before barrel-rolling through the grass.
Frigo underwent corrective surgery for a broken left arm and was released from hospital the next day.
