Impact It was a frustrating Sunday for Gasly and his Alpine F1 race team. He would roll off P12 on the starting grid and hold position through a hectic opening lap. However, the veteran driver would find a lack of pace and handling issues would keep him from driving forward through the field. A three-stop strategy wouldn't help matters, but Gasly would overtake Lance Stroll late to secure a 12th-place finish in the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Misses Points at Spa Gasly finished 11th in the Belgian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Impact A practice crash in FP2 would set Gasly back in his Belgian GP weekend. The repairs and lack of practice laps would hamper the veteran driver's weekend at Spa. Gasly would get locked into a mid-field battle and would be overtaken by teammate, Franco Colapinto, down the stretch. A lack of pace would not allow him to regain that spot and Gasly would cross the finish line in P11 and just outside the points in the Belgian Grand Prix.

Heavy Crash in FP2 Gasly suffered a heavy crash in FP2 for the Belgian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Friday.

Impact The twice interrupted session would see it's second red-flag come out with just 15 minutes left on the clock. Gasly would have a big off-track excursion in turn 13 and would suffer heavy rear damage to his Alpine machine. He was 18th fastest in the session and 3-seconds off the leaders. Gasly appeared to suffer from poor car balance and now the team will have to rush to make repairs ahead of pole qualifying.

Grabs Last Point in Great Britain Gasly finished 10th in the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Impact It would be a double points day for Alpine thanks to Gasly's diligent efforts. The veteran driver would start the race from P15 due to a three-spot grid penalty for impeding during qualifying. Gasly would execute a three stop strategy of mediums to hards to softs and it would pay off. Despite some lack of pace, a well-executed race would reward Gasly with 10th-place and give Alpine F1 a double points day at Silverstone.

Big Mover in Barcelona Gasly finished seventh in the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.

Impact A difficult qualifying session would put Gasly P14 on the starting grid. The Alpine veteran would make good headway in the opening laps and climb up to P12. A timely VSC for Fernando Alonso's retirement on lap 41 would give Gasly a fast pit stop under a slower race pace. That would push him into points standing. He would hold off teammate, Franco Colapinto, down the stretch to secure a surprising seventh-place finish in the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.

Time Penalties Gasly finished seventh in the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 race at The Circuit de Monaco on Sunday afternoon.

Impact The Alpine veteran would have a brilliant drive in Monaco on Sunday. Gasly would move through the field from P9 on the starting grid and into podium position when George Russell served a time penalty. He would later be assessed two of his own, separate 5-second time penalties for speeding on pit lane. Gasly would take the checkered flag in P3 but slide to seventh-place once the 10-seconds were added to his race time. It was a point day for the veteran driver but ultimately disappointing for losing the podium.

Epic Battle with Max Verstappen Gasly finished seventh in the Japanese Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Suzuka Circuit on Sunday.

Impact The Alpine veteran would qualify well and start seventh on the grid. Gasly would drive up to P4 by his lap 22 safety car pit stop. That would allow him to anchor himself with in the Top 10 down the stretch. Gasly would then engage in a heated defensive battle against Max Verstappen for the final 25 laps of the race. He would fend off all challenges by the Red Bull star and finish three-tenths ahead of him at the checkered flag to collect the valuable 6 points for Alpine.

P10 in Australia Gasly finished 10th in the Australian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Albert Park Circuit on Sunday.

Impact The Alpine F1 veteran would get underway from P14 on the starting grid after a subpar qualifying effort. Gasly would avoid a slow-starting Liam Lawson and also pick off some spots to ride P9 by the close of lap 1. That good start at the lights out would anchor him into good midfield track position that would hold up the rest of the day. Gasly would pit under the lap 11 VSC and take on hard tyres for a super long second stint. He'd lose a spot late to Gabriel Bortoletto and cross the finish line a respectable P10.

Impact A poor qualifying effort would put Gasly 19th on the starting grid. A lack of pace would force the veteran to take some chances. The two-stop strategy was also a disadvantage compared to some in the back-end of field. Gasly would get slapped with a five-second penalty for multiple track limits infractions, but it would have little impact on his distant running in the field. Impact A brilliant qualifying effort would put Gasly ninth on the starting grid. However, an early-race run in with Nico Hulkenberg would see the two collide on lap 7 while hotly battling. The Sauber driver would be mortally wounded from the encounter and retire early. Gasly would sustain front wing damage but pit for a new wing and continue on. He would rejoin P19 and lose a ton of track position. Impact A good qualifying effort would be spoiled by some early-race drama for Gasly. Turn 1 of the opening lap would see several cars make contact and as a result Gasly would be sent spinning into the opening turn. He would recover and rejoin but lose several spots to P17. The Alpine veteran would pit on lap 2 under the VSC to repair and service his car. That would effectively mire him deep in the running order. With the retirements of three drivers and two McLaren's being DQ'd post-race, Gasly would eventually be credited with a P13 finish. He'll look for better results next round in Qatar.

Impact It's been a long, brutal summer for both Alpine racers. However, Gasly was able to find a good setup and some speed this Sunday in Brazil. The veteran driver would advance to Q3 and grab a ninth-place starting spot on the grid. Gasly's two-stop strategy and on-track battles in the mid-field would shore up that good track position. Impact After starting 14th on the grid there was some hope the Alpine veteran could challenge for points Sunday in Austin. However, Gasly's undercut pit strategy wouldn't seem to work out. He would slide back to P19 and battle in traffic the rest of the day. Gasly would make it as high as P15 during his second stint but poor pace and struggles with the car would see him fade to 19th-place by the checkered flag. He'll look to rebound next round out in Mexico.

Pit Lane Start at Marina Bay Gasly finished 19th in the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Marina Bay Circuit on Sunday.

Impact Gasly would start from pit lane due to changing his floor and some suspension adjustments during parc ferme conditions. He would start the race on medium tyres and run to a lap 24 pit stop. This would give him no advantage and keep the Alpine veteran camped in the rear quarter of the field. A second pit stop on lap 51 would be necessary as his second set of tyres would give up. Gasly would only manage to overtake Nico Hulkenberg late and collect a disappointing P19 finish on the Marina Bay Circuit.

Impact The Alpine veteran would start the grand prix from 20th-place on pit lane due to power unit changes prior to the race. That would put him on the backfoot from the get-go. Gasly would opt for hard compound tyres to start and run most of the race on one set of tyres. He would race up to a high of P10 at one point during mid-race pit stops but would only fade back into the field on the old rubber as his tyres degraded. A lap 49 pit stop for fresh rubber would do nothing to mitigate Gasly's fall through the field and he would finish P16 at Monza.

Impact The veteran driver inked a new deal with his current team Alpine. Gasly's current deal wasn't set to expire until the end of 2026, but the team decided to extend the 29-year-old driver into 2028 and lock up his experience in their Formula 1 effort. Gasly helped Alpine to a sixth-place finish in the Constructors title last season and is considered the cornerstone of the team at this point.

Impact Gasly would start the race on hard tyres and look to do a long opening stint to make up track position. He would run to lap 31 and pit out of P15 in his one-stop strategy. Gasly would be stuck in backend battles until near the end of the race when he'd make contact with Carlos Sainz and draw the review of the stewards in that battle. He'd lose the spot to Sainz and then be slapped with a 10-second penalty for avoidable contact. That would demote Gasly to P19 after the checkered flag.
