Impact Stroll started 15th on the grid after another underwhelming showing in qualifying. However, he and Aston Martin got the strategy right, as Stroll started the race on hard tires and was the second-to-last driver to pit. That allowed him to gain track position, which he maintained in a short second stint. Stroll was hit with a five-second penalty late in the race while defending a position from Carlos Sainz Jr., but he still managed to pick up his first point since the Dutch Grand Prix in late August. It was a positive close to an otherwise poor season, as Stroll managed to tally only 33 points.

Way off pace in Qatar Stroll finished 17th in the Qatar Grand Prix F1 race at the Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.

Impact Stroll admitted to struggling to find a comfort level with his Aston Martin throughout the weekend, and it showed in his results. He qualified 16th and 19th for the sprint and grand prix, respectively, and was never close to contending for a points position. It was a disappointing finish for Stroll, and he has now gone without points for eight straight races.

Knocked out of race in Vegas Stroll was forced to retire from the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday.

Impact Stroll had a chance to earn points early in the weekend, as he qualified seventh for the sprint. Impact The Aston Martin had decent pace throughout the weekend, though Stroll struggled to race with any consistency. He managed to move up the field for a respectable finish in the grand prix, but it was an underwhelming weekend overall. Stroll has failed to finish in the points in four straight races.

This setback will hamper any possibility of Stroll getting into the points in Austin.

Helps Alonso to points Stroll finished 13th at the Singapore Grand Prix F1 race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday.

Impact Stroll was eliminated in Q1, putting him in a position he couldn't recover from on race day. He held up the midfield after running a long initial stint on soft tires to allow teammate Fernando Alonso to re-enter the race in a favorable position and tally points -- his biggest impact of the weekend. Stroll has now failed to finish inside the top 10 in three straight races.

Impact Stroll snuck out of Q1 but was nearly a second off the pace in Q2, burying him 14th on the grid to start the race. He elected to run a long initial stint on medium tires in hopes of a safety car, though that never came. Stroll failed to earn points for the second consecutive grand prix.

Impact Stroll missed out on Q2 by a tenth of a second to Alex Albon, marking the sixth time in the last seven races he's failed to advance from Q1. Crash at Zandvoort Stroll crashed during Free Practice 2 for the Dutch Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Friday.

Impact It was an unfortunate turn of events for the Aston Martin veteran. Stroll had shown good pace in both the day's opening practice and this second session. However, Stroll would lose control of his car in turn 3 just over 10 minutes into this session and make heavy impact with the barriers. The team will now have to quickly make repairs and get Stroll ready for practice 3 and qualifying Saturday at Zandvoort.

Impressive showing at Hungaroring Stroll finished seventh at the Hungarian Grand Prix F1 race at Hungaroring on Sunday.

Impact Stroll's Aston Martin lacked pace at Spa one week ago, but the opposite was true at Hungaroring. He was consistently among the fastest cars in the midfield and ultimately qualified sixth. Stroll lost one position to Gabriel Bortoleto during the race, but this was one of the most convincing weekends of his season.

Impact Stroll arguably got the most that he could out of his Aston Martin, but both he and Fernando Alonso were well off the pace all weekend. Stroll managed to pick up a few positions after lining up 16th due to pulling off a one-stop strategy, but he still fell well short of points.

Navigates rain effectively Stroll finished seventh in the British Grand F1 race at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.

Impact Stroll looked to be in for another tough weekend after qualifying 17th. However, he and his Aston Martin team correctly navigated rainy conditions early in the race, flipping between slick and intermediate tires to gain a significant amount of track position. Stroll ran as high as third for significant portions of the race, and this was his best finish since the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.

Another weekend without points Stroll finished 14th at the Austrian Grand Prix F1 race at Red Bull Ring on Sunday.

Impact Stroll looked to be in for a competitive weekend, as he was either ahead or very close to Aston Martin teammate Fernando Alonso in every session leading up to the grand prix. However, his pace disappeared come Sunday, as he appeared to struggle to manage his tires in the heat. Stroll has now failed to record points in nine consecutive grand prix.

Home race to forget Stroll finished 17th in the Canadian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday.

Impact There was some question as to whether Stroll would be in the Aston Martin for his home race due to a recurring wrist injury. He reported feeling fine during the weekend, but his performance was forgettable. He was the last finishing car on the road during the race, and he also crashed during FP2 while qualifying nearly half a second off the pace of his teammate Fernando Alonso.

FP2 Crash in Canada Stroll crashed in FP2 for the Canadian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Friday.

Impact The Aston Martin driver is making a return to action after missing the Spanish Grand Prix last round out due to a wrist injury. Unfortunately his weekend in Montreal is not getting off to a good start. Just five minutes into this second session and 2 laps, Stroll clipped the barrier and snapped the front left wheel off his car due to broken suspension. The session would be briefly stopped to clear Stroll's car and his second practice would be finished after barely getting started.

Withdraws from Spanish GP Stroll withdrew from the Spanish Grand Prix F1 race on Saturday, Nate Saunders of ESPN reports.

Impact Stroll participated in qualifying and advanced out of Q1, setting him up to start 14th on the grid for the grand prix. However, word came out shortly thereafter that Stroll was withdrawing due to a wrist issue. Since, conflicting reports and rumors have emerged regarding a potential conflict with the team, and Aston Martin released an official statement saying that Stroll was "upset" after qualifying. Whether his absence was conduct or injury related, Stroll's future with Aston Martin will be worth monitoring.

Impact The incident happened early in FP1 at Monaco. Stroll came back into the racing line at a slow speed and obstructed Leclerc heading into the hairpin. The Ferrari star had nowhere to go and made heavy contact with the rear of Stroll's Aston Martin. Leclerc would replace front wings and continue on with the practice but Stroll would be parked with broken rear suspension and gearbox trouble. The stewards deemed Stroll fully responsible for the incident and have penalized him one spot on the starting grid for Sunday's race.
