Team Ferrari have shown good pace in pre-season testing and unique innovations like the exhaust winglet and inverted rotating rear wing. Leclerc looks poised to win races and have a big 2026 season.

Impact
As week two of testing in Bahrain would get underway, it would be Leclerc that would impress in the morning session this day. He would post a lap of 1:33.739 in his Ferrari and that would put him three-tenths ahead of Norris to lead the way. The team brought an upgraded aero package and fresh power unit for this second week of testing and it really showed on the race track. There is great optimism around Ferrari's performance for the upcoming season.

P4 in Season Finale
Leclerc finished fourth in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday evening.
Impact
Leclerc started fifth on the grid after a good qualifying effort at the Yas Marina Circuit. He would jump past George Russell on the opening lap and immediately leap into P4. The Ferrari star would occupy this position for much of the grand prix, short of pit stops. After Leclerc's final stop on lap 39 he would be running some of the fastest laps of the race down the stretch in pursuit of Lando Norris. However, he would use up his tyres and begin to fade back of the McLaren star. Leclerc would come home P4 at just over 6.5-seconds back of Norris.

No Pace at Lusail Circuit
Leclerc finished eighth the Qatar Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact
A disappointing qualifying effort would put Leclerc P10 on the starting grid. He'd lose a spot on the first lap to Nico Hulkenberg and it would be an uphill battle from there. The Ferrari star would execute a standard 2-stop strategy and after his final stop would become entrenched between George Russell and Lance Stroll. Leclerc would get past a crippled Isack Hadjar in the final laps to secure an eighth-place finish at the Lusail International Circuit.

P4 in Las Vegas
Leclerc finished fourth in the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday night.
Impact
A P9 starting spot would come as the result of a subpar qualifying effort. However, Leclerc would not be deterred as he had good pace in his Ferrari. Overtakes of both Fernando Alonso and Oscar Piastri in the opening laps would set the tone for the veteran driver. Leclerc would go long in his opening stint and pit out of P4 on lap 24. After his stop he would chase Piastri all the way to the finish. Leclerc would promote two spots as a result of the double McLaren disqualification and end with an impressive P4 result.

Gearbox Issue in Practice
Leclerc would suffer a gearbox issue in FP2 for the Las Vegas Grand Prix Formula 1 race in Las Vegas on Thursday night.
Impact
Leclerc had a good opening practice and he looked strong in this second practice Thursday evening. However, the Ferrari star would have problems late in this second session. Leclerc would pull off the track with an apparent gearbox issue and the red flags would wave once again, bringing an early end to FP2. The team will attempt to address the mechanical issue prior to Friday evening's FP3 and pole qualifying.

Fast Opening Vegas Practice
Leclerc set the pace in Free Practice 1 for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the Ferrari driver finishing ahead of Williams' Alex Albon and Red Bull's Yuki Tsunoda, Formula1.com reports.
Impact
It was a challenging FP1 on the streets of Las Vegas. It would be a dirty but dry track for the session. Leclerc would eventually turn a circuit of 1:34.802 late on soft tyres and edge Albon by just 0.166-seconds to lead the way. There were no accidents but many offs due to the cool temperatures and lack of grip. The Ferrari star will now look to build on this performance later Friday evening in FP2 at Las Vegas.

DNF in Brazil
Leclerc crashed and finished 19th in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Interlagos Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact
It would be the classic in the wrong place at the wrong time scenario for Leclerc. Lap 5 restart would see contact between Oscar Piastri and Kimi Antonelli going into turn 1. The McLaren machine would dart to the outside lane and contact Leclerc's Ferrari very hard. The veteran driver would lose a tyre and sustain heavy damage, pulling off track with his crippled car. The virtual safety car would be triggered and Leclerc's day would be done on lap 5. He'll look to shake off this disappointment next round out in Las Vegas.

Runner-up Finish in Mexico
Leclerc finished second in the Mexico City Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday afternoon.
Impact
The Ferrari star would start the race on soft tyres and was able to retain second-place despite the wild opening lap. Leclerc would then settle in and ride P2 until his lap 31 pit stop. He would rejoin in third-place but would soon retake P2 on Verstappen's pit stop. Leclerc would do well to hold off a hard-charging Verstappen down the stretch and seemingly a late virtual safety car would help him to hang onto P2 at Mexico City. It was his seventh podium of the season.

Leads FP1 in Mexico City
Leclerc finished fastest in Free Practice 1 for the Mexico City Grand Prix, the Ferrari driver heading Kimi Antonelli and Nico Hulkenberg, Formula1.com reports.
Impact
A number of junior drivers participated in this opening practice for Mexico City weekend. It would result in a bit different looking list of names on the top of the timing sheets at the end of the hour-long session. Leclerc would post a lap of 1:18.380 of the Mexico circuit to edge Antonelli by just one-tenth. The Ferrari star is fresh off a podium performance in Austin and looking for his first victory of the season this Sunday in Mexico.

Strong Performance in Austin
Leclerc finished third in the United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday afternoon.
Impact
Leclerc would start the grand prix on soft tyres and take full advantage of that grip early in the race. He'd get around Lando Norris at the start and claim P2 right after the lights out. The Ferrari star would hold that spot down until Norris would take the spot back on lap 21. The rest of the event would be a duel between the two and see Leclerc once again occupy P2 late before Norris would retake the position down the stretch. Leclerc would end up grabbing third and his sixth podium of the season.

P6 at Marina Bay Circuit
Leclerc finished sixth in the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Marina Bay Circuit on Sunday.
Impact
The Ferrari star would start seventh on the grid after a subpar qualifying effort. Leclerc wanted much more and would have to try to earn it during the race. He'd grab two spots on the opening lap and things would look very promising after the lights out. However, his undercut attempt and pit stop on lap 21 would bear mixed results. Leclerc would rejoin P9 but wouldn't be able to make too much headway. He would race up to P5 down the stretch but would see that spot stolen away by Kimi Antonelli on the final lap.

Struggles to P9 in Baku
Leclerc finished ninth in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact
On a weekend that looked so promising for Ferrari at the Baku City Circuit, it would be nothing but struggles for Leclerc. Starting 10th on the grid he'd run long in his opening stint but try to undercut the leaders by pitting on lap 36. The ploy wouldn't work and Leclerc would rejoin in the middle of a DRS train that wouldn't offer any hope of moving forward. He'd lose a spot late to Lewis Hamilton and cross the stripe P9 at the checkered flag. He'll look to rebound next round out in Singapore.

P4 at Italian Grand Prix
Leclerc finished fourth in the Italian Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Monza Circuit on Sunday afternoon.
Impact
Leclerc would surprise Oscar Piastri on the opening lap and get around the McLaren youngster by the time lap 2 concluded. He would briefly hold down third-place as Piastri would rally back past the Ferrari star on lap 6. Leclerc would run a single stop strategy with pit stop on lap 33. That would anchor him into P4 although George Russell would pressure him at times. Leclerc would eventually build a gap back to the Mercedes veteran and finish just over 7 seconds ahead of him at the checkered flag for a strong P4 at Monza.
