Nothing doing in Austria Albon finished 17th in the Austrian Grand Prix F1 race at Red Bull Ring on Sunday.
Impact Albon's race weekend essentially ended with qualifiyng, as he started 18th on the grid. His Williams lacked pace in every session, but Albon lamented changes he claimed the team made to his car between Q1 runs without his knowledge, dooming any chance he had of advancing to Q2. Since finishing eighth in Monaco, Albon has finished 18th and 17th.
1 DAY AGO • ROTOWIRE
Rough weekend in Barcelona Albon did not finish in a classified position in the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Impact Albon struggled throughout the weekend and was almost six-tenths of a second off Carlos Sainz Jr. to reach Q2. Things didn't get any better on race day, as Albon consistently lamented a lack of pace and also had to endure a particularly long pit stop to repair a loose camera. As a result, he finished 11 laps off the pace and was mostly completing laps to give Williams data in preparation for the Austrian Grand Prix. The performance was particularly deflating after he logged a points finish in Monaco last weekend.
JUNE 18 • ROTOWIRE
Second points finish of 2026 Albon finished eighth in the Monaco Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Monaco on Sunday.
Impact Albon improved as the weekend progressed, highlighed by out-qualifying teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. He battled some engine problems during the race, but ultimately remained relatively mistake-free to log his best finish of the season while tallying points for the second time. Albon has still been outperformed by Sainz this season, though his form has generally improved of late.
JUNE 10 • ROTOWIRE
Unlucky weekend in Canada Albon was forced to retire on Lap 11 of the Canadian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Sunday.
Impact Albon had an unlucky race weekend from start to finish, crashing in FP1 after encountering wildlife on the track. He couldn't participate in the sprint as a result, and he then qualified 18th for the race, likely a result of his lack of running earlier in the weekend. After a chaotic start to the race, Albon worked his way up to 12th, only to get taken out by a desperate Oscar Piastri at the hairpin. Though this weekend wasn't his fault, Albon has now finished 20th or worse in three of five races to begin the season.
MAY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Heavy Crash in Montreal Albon suffered a heavy crash in FP1 for the Grand Prix of Canada Formula 1 race at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve on Friday afternoon.
Impact The Williams Racing veteran would bring out the second red flag of the session after Liam Lawson's mechanical failure. Albon would make only 14 laps in this FP1 before losing control and hitting the wall hard on the circuit. His car would suffer extensive damage from nose to tail as the impact was a real tank slapper. The Williams team will now scramble to repair the car ahead of Friday afternoon's Sprint Qualifying session.
MAY 22 • ROTOWIRE
Finally gets on track Albon finished 10th in the Miami Grand Prix F1 race at Miami International Autodrome on Sunday.
Impact Albon began the weekend sloppily by exceeding track limits during sprint qualifying, eliminating him from truly contending for points. He wasn't particularly quick in qualifying for the race either, but he took advantage of some chaos on the first lap to get into points position. Albon held on for his first points of the season, even after allowing teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. through in the final laps of the race. While it was far from a perfect weekend, Williams made clear progress with the car, which should bode well for Albon moving forward.
MAY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Demoted Down Sprint Order Albon has been demoted down to P19 for the Miami Sprint after the stewards deemed the Williams driver exceeded track limits during Sprint Qualifying, Formula1.com reports.
Impact Albon would make it through SQ2 on Friday and originally slot P14 on the starting grid for Saturday's Sprint in Miami. However, the stewards found that the Williams veteran exceeded track limits in turn 6 of his final flying laps. With that lap negated, Albon slides to P19 on the grid for Saturday's Sprint. It's an unfortunate setback for the struggling driver.
MAY 1 • ROTOWIRE
No progress with car Albon finished 20th in the Japanese Grand Prix F1 race at Suzuka Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon hasn't been helped by an underwhelming Williams package under the new rules, but teammate Carlos Sainz Jr has consistently outperformed him. The Japanese Grand Prix provided more of the same, as Albon was two-tenths of a second off the pace of Sainz to be eliminated in Q1. Reports have suggested that Albon ultimately turned his race into a series of tests to try to understand the shortcomings of the Williams, perhaps setting the team up to make needed adjustments during the long layoff before the Miami Grand Prix.
MARCH 31 • ROTOWIRE
More car struggles Albon did not start the Chinese Grand Prix F1 race at Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon was able to complete both sprint qualifying and the sprint, but he was well off the pace of the competitive midfield cars. He was set to start the traditional grand prix from the pits after a poor qualifiyng showing and continued adjustments to the car, but he then suffered a hydraulic issue that forced him to immediately retire. There were high hopes for Albon and Williams entering the season, but it's been a catastrophic showing across the first two race weekends.
MARCH 18 • ROTOWIRE
Let down by Williams Albon finished 12th in the Australian Grand Prix F1 race at Albert Park Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Williams had a disappointing start to the season and didn't have the pace in its car to compete for points. Albon was the better of the team's two drivers, though that was largely by default due to car troubles for Carlos Sainz Jr throughout the weekend. While Albon gets the most out of the car more often than not, he doesn't look to be ready to compete for points heading into the Chinese Grand Prix.
MARCH 11 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles continue to end 2025 Albon finished 16th in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix F1 race at Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday.
Impact The Williams was subpar relative to the rest of the midfield, but Albon was still outperformed by teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. Albon finished over 0.2 seconds off the pace of Sainz in qualifying, and he undid some of the progress he made during the race by picking up a penalty for speeding on pit lane. Albon racked up points to start the season, but he finished outside the top 10 in eight consecutive races to close the 2025 calendar.
DECEMBER 11, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Out-performed by Sainz Albon finished 11th in the Qatar Grand Prix F1 race at Lusail International Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon was a step or more behind teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. the entire weekend. The contrast was particularly clear following the sprint, as Albon finished almost 0.4 seconds off the pace of Sainz during qualifying and then finished outside of the points while Sainz bagged a podium. Albon started the season well but has now gone seven consecutive grand prix without scoring a point.
DECEMBER 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in Vegas Albon retired from the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit after 35 laps on Saturday.
Impact Albon had a weekend to forget from start to finish. He grazed the wall in Q1,causing him to be eliminated early from qualifying. That ended any realistic chance of points, though he ensured that by also picking up a five-second penlty during the grand prix for causing a collision with Lewis Hamilton. Albon has fallen into a deep slump to end the season, going six grand prix without points.
NOVEMBER 26, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Narrowly misses points Albon finished 11th at the Brazilian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on Sunday.
Impact The Williams had marginal pace all weekend, but Albon was the faster of the team's drivers. The team made uncharacteristic strategic blunders, as Albon lamented running too long on his first stint of the race. While he had a decent weekend relative to potential realistic outcomes, Albon has now gone five grand prix without scoring points.
NOVEMBER 12, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Poor showing in Mexico Albon finished 12th in the Mexico City Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on Sunday.
Impact Albon never found the pace at Mexico City, as he surprisingly managed to qualify only 17th while dealing with brake issues. He began the race on hard tires to try an alternate strategy, but he still fell short of points. Albon has now gone four consecutive grand prix without finishing inside the top 10.
OCTOBER 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Early exit from qualifying Albon finished 14th in the United States Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit of the Americas on Sunday.
Impact Albon's weekend began decently, as he lucked into points during the sprint after a collision between several cars at the top of the field. He put together a seemingly strong performance in Q1 but had his time deleted for exceeding track limits. That left Albon to start 18th on the grid, a position he ultimately couldn't recover from.
OCTOBER 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Starts from pit lane Albon finished 14th at the Singapore Grand Prix F1 race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on Sunday.

OCTOBER 9, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Disqualified from Qualifying Albon and Carlos Sainz have both been disqualified from Qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix due to technical breaches on their Williams cars, Formula1.com reports.
Impact The duo had placed 12th and 13th respectively on the starting grid but will see those starting spots wiped out by the infractions. The statement from FIA found that both car's rear wings would open wider than regulation when DRS was deployed. Both Albon and Sainz will fall to the rear of the field for Sunday's Singapore GP. Albon will face an uphill battle to earn points at the Marina Bay Circuit.

Qualifying mistake dooms Baku race Albon finished 13th in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix F1 race at the Baku City Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon entered the grand prix with plenty of momentum, having finished fifth and seventh in his prior two races. However, that was halted quickly, as he crashed out of qualifying in Q1. Albon then picked up a 10-second penalty on race day while trying to overtake Franco Colapinto fresh out of the pits. He failed to finish in points for only the second time in his last six grand prix.

SEPTEMBER 25, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Seventh at Monza Albon finished seventh in the Italian Grand Prix F1 race at Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday.
Impact Albon executed Williams' go-to strategy when they have a quick car, starting the race on hard tires and running a long first stint. That allowed him to make up for a shaky qualifying performance, when he failed to make Q3 for the third consecutive race. Albon has overcome his mediocre qualifying form to record points in four of his last five races.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Top-five finish in Netherlands Albon finished fifth in the Dutch Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit Zandvoort on Sunday.
Impact Albon's weekend didn't start in promising fashion, as he qualified 15th and nearly three-tenths of a second off the pace of Q2. However, he got off to a quick start in the grand prix and was in P10 by the end of the first lap. Things further improved from there with several retirements and collisions from drivers ahead of him, and the end result was Albon's best finish since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in mid-May.
SEPTEMBER 3, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in Hungary Albon finished 15th at the Hungarian Grand Prix F1 race at Hungaroring on Sunday.
Impact Albon was all but immediately doomed after qualifying 20th and finishing Q1 over half a second behind teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. He was able to make up some ground on race day, but got stuck in the midfield with minimal chances to overtake at Hungaroring. Albon's performance has been erratic of late due to a combination of retirements and lack of pace, leaving him with points in only two of the last six races.
AUGUST 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Banks sixth-place finish at Spa Albon finished sixth at the Belgian Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday.
Impact Albon had power issues during sprint qualifying that left him well off the pace, but he rebounded for the second half of the weekend. He delivered a stunning lap in Q3 to line up fifth on the grid, then only lost one spot to George Russell during the race. This was Albon's best finish since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in mid-May and marked his fourth grand prix finishing sixth or better this season.
JULY 28, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to top 10 Albon finished eighth at the British Grand Prix F1 race at Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.
Impact Albon's British Grand Prix started poorly, as he had an ill-timed fast lap in Q1 that was interrupted by a red flag to burn a set of soft tires, and he then set his Q2 time too early in the session. However, Albon and Williams managed to navigate the rainy conditions during the grand prix to move from 13th into the points. He benefited from a late collision between teammate Carlos Sainz Jr. and Charles Leclerc that flattered his form a bit, but it was still a good way for Albon to end his streak of three consecutive retirements.
