Called up to Colorado The Rockies recalled Veen from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Impact Veen will make his first stint with the big-league club this year after logging just 37 plate appearances last season. In Triple-A, the 24-year-old has posted a scorching-hot .327/.402/.635 with 24 home runs, 87 RBI and 18 stolen bases in 445 plate appearances. The Rockies designated Edouard Julien to make room for Veen on the 26-man roster.
