Impact Injuries have tested Milwaukee's rotation depth in the early going, so the organization was willing to part ways with one of its better lower-level outfield prospects in Rodriguez in order to get another promising young arm in its system. After slashing .250/.343/.383 with seven home runs and six stolen bases over 110 games for Single-A Carolina in 2024, Rodriguez had gotten off to a nice start to 2025 at High-A Wisconsin, going 5-for-12 with a 1:3 BB:K in 13 plate appearances. The 19-year-old is likely to report to Boston's High-A affiliate in Greenville.

Reaches High-A Rodriguez was promoted from Single-A Carolina to High-A Wisconsin on Sept. 15.

Impact With the Single-A season in the books, Rodriguez joined the Timber Rattlers for the Midwest League playoffs. Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Game 2 of the Midwest League Championship Series on Tuesday, and Wisconsin will look to close things out in Game 3 against Lake County on Wednesday. Rodriguez didn't create much of a stir in dynasty leagues with his .250/.343/.383 slash line, seven home runs and seven steals in 110 games for Carolina, but it was good for a 117 wRC+ and he doesn't turn 19 until December. He may not have a standout tool, but the lefty-hitting outfielder seems to be decent at everything and he is well ahead of most of his peers.

Impact This is a notable assignment for Rodriguez, as he follows in the footsteps of Jackson Chourio and Luis Lara, who were also assigned directly to Single-A for their age-18 seasons without playing in the Arizona Complex League. Rodriguez got $1.5 million from the Brewers in January of 2023 and showed off across-the-board skills in the Dominican Summer League as a 17-year-old. He hit six home runs with 12 steals and more walks (41) than strikeouts (40) in 52 games last year and will generate significant buzz if he performs well early this season.
