Impact Povich is the top prize in the deal for the Orioles, while Cano is the most MLB-ready of the four-prospect haul that Baltimore received in return for its closer. The 28-year-old Cano made 10 relief appearances for Minnesota this season before being optioned Monday to Triple-A St. Paul, with whom he's produced a 1.90 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 23.2 innings. He could join the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk to begin his tenure with his new organization, but expect the right-hander to get another look in the big-league bullpen at some point in August or September.

Sent back to minors The Twins optioned Cano to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Impact Cano was sent back to the minors to clear a spot on the 26-man active roster for third baseman Gio Urshela (personal), who was reinstated from the paternity list. The 28-year-old right-hander was up with the big club for just over a week and gave up two earned runs over his lone two-inning appearance out of the bullpen.

Called up Saturday Cano was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Impact Cano made nine relief appearances for Minnesota earlier in the year and posted a 9.26 ERA and 1.97 WHIP in 11.2 innings. He'll rejoin the Twins' bullpen after Caleb Thielbar (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Recalled from Triple-A Cano was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Impact Cano made six relief appearances for the Twins in May, and he posted a 13.50 ERA and 2.18 WHIP in 7.1 innings before being sent down at the end of the month. However, the right-hander will join the active roster after Sonny Gray (pectoral) was placed on the 15-day injured list. Cano has served exclusively as a reliever in St. Paul and with the Twins this year, so it's not yet clear who will take Gray's spot in the rotation.

Returns to minors Cano was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul after Friday's game against the Royals, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Impact Cano allowed two runs on two hits with a strikeout and a walk over two-thirds of an inning during Friday's victory, and he'll now head back to St. Paul. The 28-year-old surrendered 11 earned runs across 7.1 innings for the Twins after being promoted May 11.

Impact Cano has been productive in St. Paul early in the season, posting a 14:4 K:BB while tossing 12 scoreless frames over nine relief appearances. He hasn't yet made his major-league debut but will be available out of Minnesota's bullpen after Danny Coulombe (hip) was placed on the 15-day IL.
