Four straight multi-hit games Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over Miami.

Impact Hernandez hit three singles in the contest and added a stolen base in the ninth inning. The 33-year-old outfielder is 9-for-15 (.600) with a home run and three RBI and three runs scored in his last four games. Prior to his recent success at the plate, he had just one hit, a double, in his first 10 at-bats. He's not much of a speed threat either -- Hernandez's stolen base Friday was the first of his career in 24 total games.

Impact The 33-year-old continues to strengthen his case for a roster spot once Juan Soto (shoulder) returns to action and launched his third homer of the season, while also registering his third straight multi-hit game. He's hitting .333 with a .924 OPS and while the sample size is small (25 plate appearances), he might have done enough to carve a bench role moving forward.

Impact The Nats would have to create a spot on the roster for him, but they're currently carrying two fairly interchangeable utility infielders in Jordy Mercer and Hernan Perez, one of whom could be bumped aside by Hernandez. The 33-year-old would give the team a better left-handed bench bat and could see occasional starts in left or right field, but his fantasy value will remain minimal regardless.

Impact The 33-year-old did everything he could to spark the Nats' offense while hitting second, but the rest of the lineup only managed three hits. Hernandez has four hits in the last two games as he takes advantage of the opportunity presented by Juan Soto's shoulder injury, but with Soto potentially back by the end of the month, his window for fantasy value is small.
