Marlins 2026 Free Agent Signings Outside of One Player Officially Busts It is safe to say that the Miami Marlins did not get a good return on their investment in free agents this past offseason.

Kyle Stowers - Expected to be activated Monday Stowers (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.
Impact Stowers has been sideliend since suffering a left hamstring strain Aug. 9 against the Angels, but he now appears to be set to return to the major-league roster. The outfielder wasn't sent on a minor-league rehab assignment, so his first at-bat with Miami upon his activation will be his first since suffering the injury. Stowers had produced a .292 average with four home runs, 10 RBI and eight runs scored over his last 19 contests before being placed on the injured list.

Jackson Kent - Struggles again in second loss Kent (0-2) took the loss against the Marlins on Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out five.
Impact Two of Kent's hits allowed went for extra bases Sunday, and he couldn't escape Miami's two-run fifth inning. The rookie left-hander hasn't fared well in his first taste of big-league action, conceding at least three runs while failing to work into the sixth frame in each of his first three stars. He's set to take a poor 8.03 ERA, 2.11 WHIP and 14:11 K:BB over 12.1 innings into a home rematch with the Marlins.

Deyvison De Los Santos - Headed back to Triple-A De Los Santos is being optioned back to Triple-A Jacksonville following Sunday's 6-2 win over the Nationals, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.
Impact De Los Santos will head back to Jacksonville after being recalled by Miami on Saturday. The 23-year-old did not play in Saturday's contest, but he did go 1-for-2 with a single in Sunday's victory. The transaction will make room for Kyle Stowers (hamstring) to be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday.
AUGUST 23 ROTOWIRE
Janson Junk - Keeps Nationals in check Junk took a no-decision against the Nationals on Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and no walks in 4.2 innings. He struck out two.
Impact Junk did a fine job of keeping the ball on the ground, inducing seven groundouts Sunday, but the two hits allowed both went for extra bases. The 30-year-old right-hander hasn't exhibited much strikeout upside lately, fanning two or fewer in four consecutive starts, though he has given up two runs or fewer in six straight outings. Junk is set to bring a middling 4.25 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 68:26 K:BB over 97.1 innings into a road rematch with Washington.
