Projected for bullpen Taylor is one of six healthy relievers considered as locks to serve in Astros' bullpen come Opening Day, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact Taylor was a useful piece in the bullpen last season for Houston, pitching to a 2.18 ERA and 1.21 WHIP over 20.2 innings. He's made just three appearances this spring, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five over three innings. Two of those appearances have come in the sixth inning and the other one in the seventh, which normally aren't the spots managers deploy high-leverage relievers in early-to-mid spring training contests. He's one of two left-handers projected to make the roster -- Brooks Raley being the other -- which puts him in line for any late-game opportunities that may require a southpaw.

On track to avoid injured list Strasburg (calf) is on track to make his first turn in the rotation and avoid a trip to the injured list, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact Injuries have unfortunately been one of the stories of Strasburg's career, and they've been the story of his spring as well. Despite spending the offseason recovering from hand surgery and then exiting a start with a calf injury, however, he looks set to avoid missing any regular-season starts. He threw 74 pitches in a simulated game Friday.

Feels fine Saturday Robles (back) feels fine Saturday after exiting Friday's spring game against the Astros, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Robles was removed from Friday's Grapefruit League matchup due to back tightness, but the issue appears to be minor. Manager Dave Martinez said that Robles was already scheduled to get a day off Saturday, but he'll take some swings in the cage and could return to the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Mets.

Not getting reps at third base Garcia has not seen any work at third base this spring as the Nationals focus on developing him as their long-term second baseman, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
Impact Carter Kieboom's continued struggles at the plate have generated questions about the team's contingency plans at the hot corner, but at the moment Garcia isn't among them -- at least, not directly. The 20-year-old is expected to begin the season at Triple-A to get everyday reps at second base, but if at some point the Nats decide Kieboom is not the answer, shifting Starlin Castro to third base and promoting Garcia to take over at the keystone would be on the table.
