Edwin Arroyo - Getting look at third base Arroyo has started to get some reps at third base at Triple-A Louisville, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox19.com reports.
Impact Arroyo has always been known as a good fielding prospect, with his primary position still being second base. But the bat has been slow to come around, especially in terms of his power after a shoulder injury wiped out his 2024 campaign. So far at Triple-A he's enjoyed his best year at the plate, hitting .342/.408/.590 with eight homers in 189 plate appearances. Arroyo turns 23 in August, so it's not too late for him to make a major league impact someday.

Impact McLain connected for his fourth home run of the season and has hit safely in seven of the last eight contests, going 9-for-27 with two homers and seven RBI. This production has come from the bottom third of the order, as McLain was dropped from second spot on May 3 with a .195 average.

Impact After a slow start to the season -- Duno batted .203 over the first 20 contests -- the catching prosepct has put on a show in the Midwest League. Since April 30, he's gone 16-for-40 (.400) with seven extra-base hits (four home runs) and nine RBI over 10 games. In addition to the bat coming around recently, Duno has showed off strong plate discipline and swing decisions for the Dragons all season with a .412 OBP, an 18.7 BB% and 25:28 BB:K.

Alex Young - Signs with Nats Young (elbow) signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals on Wednesday.
Impact Young spent the 2025 campaign in the Reds organization but didn't appear in a game after suffering a season-ending elbow injury during spring training. It's unknown where he currently sits in his recovery, but the Nationals will have him begin his ramp-up process in the Florida Complex League. Once the 32-year-old is built up, he will likely report to Triple-A Rochester and could eventually claim a spot in Washington's bullpen if he pitches well in the minors.
