Impact Gutierrez turned in another strong performance, settling in after allowing a Dansby Swanson RBI single in the first inning and holding Atlanta off the board the rest of the way. It was the fourth straight victory for the 25-year-old Gutierrez, who owns a 2.33 ERA and 21:8 over 19.1 innings during that stretch. He's lined up to face the Cubs at home in his next scheduled start.

Impact That's now five quality starts in the last six outings for Gutierrez, who held the Pirates to a Bryan Reynolds run-scoring triple in the third inning to earn his third straight win. The 25-year-old Gutierrez has done a better job of limiting traffic on the bases in recent starts, but his 4.39 ERA and 1.34 ERA -- not to mention peripherals like his 5.68 xFIP -- suggest he's still more of a matchup-dependent option for the time being. His next start is tentatively scheduled for next week at Atlanta.

Impact Gutierrez coughed up a two-run homer to Anthony Rizzo in the first inning but settled in to deliver a quality start. After striking out just one batter in his previous 10 innings, the right-hander punched out five Tuesday, two shy of his career-high. His lack of swing-and-miss stuff (42 strikeouts in 60.2 innings) limits his value from a fantasy perspective, but his ability to provide length for the Reds means he could be sticking around. He is projected to get the ball again on August 1 against the Mets.

Although the right-hander gave up six runs in four innings during his last start, he'll rejoin Cincinnati's rotation Tuesday, while Jeff Hoffman will shift to a bullpen role. Across Gutierrez's 10 starts this year, he's posted a 4.97 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 54.1 innings.
