Impact Making his fourth career big-league start, Bellozo fell just short of recording his first career quality start as well as his first win, getting lifted after 92 pitches (56 strikes). The 24-year-old right-hander has given the Marlins at least five innings in each of his outings so far, producing an impressive 3.05 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 19:5 K:BB through 20.2 innings despite a fastball that barely averages 90 mph. It's doubtful he'll be able to keep getting by much longer with smoke and mirrors, but Miami's injury-ravaged rotation will take all the help it can get. Impact Called up from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday to help fill the opening in the rotation created by the Marlins trading Trevor Rogers to the Orioles earlier in the week, Bellozo got the job done in his start against Atlanta. He took a no-decision in the Marlins' 5-3 loss, covering five innings and striking out five while allowing two earned runs on two hits and two walks. Bellozo has covered exactly five frames in each of his three starts with Miami this season and has posted a 4.20 ERA and 0.93 WHIP while striking out a batter per inning.
