Steady in no-decision
Anderson allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Impact
This was a fourth straight quality start for Anderson, and it was also his longest outing of the season. The seven strikeouts were a season high for the southpaw, who has stepped up his game early in 2025 to be a reliable starter for the Angels. He's at a 2.68 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 34:15 K:BB over 40.1 innings across seven starts this season. His velocity has been down this year, with an average fastball at 88.8 mph compared to 89.4 mph in 2024, but he's never overwhelmed batters with sheer velocity in the past. He's lined up for a home start versus the Orioles over the weekend.

Posts another quality start
Anderson did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Mariners, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out five.
Impact
While Anderson had to settle for a no-decision, it's the third consecutive quality start for the left-hander, who's yet to allow more than three runs in an outing this season. Anderson's ERA sits at 2.67 on the year with a 1.04 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB across six starts (33.2 innings). He's currently lined up to face the Blue Jays at home in his next start.

Settles in for quality start
Anderson didn't factor into the decision Thursday against Pittsburgh after allowing three runs on six hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out one.
Impact
Anderson struggled to keep the ball in the yard, giving up two home runs over the first two innings, but he was still able to settle in and register a quality start in his second straight outing. Despite tallying a season low in strikeouts, the crafty lefty managed to induce 14 whiffs, so he did keep Pittsburgh off balance Thursday. Anderson will take a strong 2.60 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 22:12 K:BB over 27.2 innings (five starts) into his next projected start, which lines up for next week against Seattle at pitcher-friendly T-Mobile Park.

Blanks Giants in Friday's win
Anderson (2-0) picked up the win Friday, scattering three hits and two walks over six scoreless innings in a 2-0 victory over the Giants. He struck out six.
Impact
Logan Webb was the more dominant pitcher on the night, fanning 12 Angels in his six frames, but Anderson kept the opposition off-balance over his 96 pitches (64 strikes) and didn't allow a runner to get past second base. The veteran lefty will take a stingy 2.08 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB through 21.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Pirates.

Anderson is currently in line for a home matchup with the Giants in his next outing.

Walks four in no-decision
Anderson did not factor in the decision during Sunday's win against the Guardians. He yielded two runs on a hit and four walks over five innings and struck out five batters.
Impact
Anderson allowed one run through the first three frames before serving up a solo shot off the bat of Kyle Manzardo. Through two starts, Anderson has given up five runs (three homers) across 10 frames. He threw just 49 of 81 pitches for strikes but forced 10 whiffs, including six with his changeup. Anderson's next outing is lined up to be in Houston next weekend.
