Gets MLB deal from Padres
The Padres signed Adcock to a one-year contract Thursday.
Impact
Adcock got into three games with the Mets in 2025 but spent most of the season at Triple-A Syracuse, where he posted a 4.66 ERA and 35:14 K:BB over 36.2 frames. The right-handed reliever does not have minor-league options remaining and has previously been outrighted, so he'd seem to be a good bet to be part of the Padres' Opening Day bullpen.

Heading to open market
The Mets released Adcock on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Adcock will have the ability to choose his next destination with the Mets cutting ties with him after he went unclaimed off waivers upon being designated for assignment Tuesday. The Mets claimed Adcock off waivers in late May, and the right-handed reliever gave up seven runs over 4.1 innings across three appearances for the big club during his brief time in the majors. He'll presumably have to settle for a minor-league deal in free agency.

The Mets recalled Adcock from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday.
Impact
The 27-year-old was claimed off waivers from the Tigers in late May and will now receive his first look in the majors for the Mets. Claimed by Mets
The Mets claimed Adcock off waivers from Detroit on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse.
Impact
Adcock was DFA'd by the Tigers on Saturday, but he will reclaim a spot on a 40-man roster as he moves to New York. The 27-year-old righty has allowed eight earned runs across 8.1 innings between the Mariners' and Tigers' Triple-A affiliates, and a significant turnaround would likely be necessary before Adcock receives a call up to the majors.

Optioned to minors
Adcock was optioned to Double-A Arkansas on Monday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact
Adcock has a nice 3.45 ERA and 11:4 K:BB over 15.2 innings since being promoted last month. However, he had pitched each of the last two nights, including two innings Tuesday, so he's being sent out in favor of a fresh arm.

Selected from Double-A
The Mariners selected Adcock from Double-A Arkansas on Monday, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.
Impact
With Penn Murfee (elbow) headed back to the injured list, the Mariners will call on Adcock to fill Murfee's spot in the bullpen. The 26-year-old righty has been impressive in Double-A, logging a 2.08 ERA and 0.62 WHIP across 12 appearances. However, his lack of experience beyond Double-A makes him a very risky fantasy option. Robbie Ray (elbow) was moved to the 60-day injured list to make room for Adcock on the 40-man roster.
