Impact The move is retroactive to May 22, leaving Larnach eligible to return on the first day of June. Whether he'll be ready by that time isn't clear at this point. Matt Wallner has take his spot on the roster.

Impact Larnach lost his roster spot in early May but returns eight days later with Max Kepler (hamstring) hitting the injured list. Larnach started the season well, posting a .976 OPS over his first eight games, but he slumped to a .164/.276/.288 line over his next 23 contests while striking out 39.1 percent of the time. Strikeouts have been a problem throughout the 26-year-old's career, as he's hit .225/.319/.368 with 15 homers in 161 games while striking out 33.7 percent of the time.

Impact Larnach is sent down with Alex Kirilloff coming up from St. Paul in a corresponding transaction. In 124 plate appearances with Minnesota in 2023, Larnach slashed .221/.331/.356 with three homers and 19 RBI over 31 games. He could be back with Minnesota in the coming weeks, but the Twins will likely give Kirilloff a chance to earn a regular spot while Larnach is in Triple-A.
