Resumes throwing Hatch (elbow) resumed throwing Friday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Throwing at 100 percent Ray (elbow) has been throwing at 100 percent and will throw off a mound Friday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
Impact Ray suffered an elbow injury late in camp, though the issue was among the least concerning elbow problems for a pitcher, as it was nothing worse than a bruise and came while falling down some stairs rather than while pitching. The injury was bad enough to send him to the injured list to start the year, but it doesn't look as though he'll need to miss much time.

Returning to mound work Pearson (groin) is scheduled to throw off a mound Friday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
Impact The 24-year-old aggravated a right groin injury in mid-March and was previously limited to long toss, so a return to mound work is a big step in his recovery. Pearson doesn't have an official timeline for his return, but Toronto figures to remain cautious, especially since he already suffered one setback since originally suffering the injury March 4.

Suffers hard-luck loss Thursday Nelson (0-1) was tagged with the loss Opening Day against Toronto, allowing one unearned run on one hit while striking out three.
Impact Nelson looked good in the appearance, throwing 11 of 15 pitches for strikes and getting all three of his outs via strikeout. However, he allowed a leadoff 10th-inning double to Randal Grichuk, permitting Jonathan Davis -- who was on second base due to the MLB extra-innings rule -- to come around to score. Despite the disappointing outcome, Nelson's ability to recover and strike out the subsequent three batters bodes well for his outlook following a strong spring.
