Zach Pop - Suffers setback on rehab Pop is back in Toronto being evaluated after feeling renewed discomfort in his right hamstring during his most recent rehab appearance, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
Impact It had seemed like Pop's return to the Blue Jays' bullpen was imminent, but now he's hit a bump in the road. It's not clear at this point how big of a setback it is. He's been sidelined since early May.

Danny Jansen - Sprints pregame Monday Jansen (groin) did some sprints pregame Monday at Rogers Centre, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
Impact It would seem to bode well for Jansen being ready for a rehab assignment soon, if the Blue Jays think he needs one. The catcher is eligible now to return from a left groin strain which has kept him out of commission for the last week-and-a-half.

Tomás Nido - Pushed off 40-man roster The Mets designated Nido for assignment Monday.
Impact The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for fellow catcher Omar Narvaez (calf), who was reinstated from the 60-day injured list prior to Tuesday's series opener in Atlanta. According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the Mets are expected to find a taker for Nido via trade, but if a deal can't be finalized within the next few days, the veteran backstop will be exposed to waivers. The 29-year-old was hitting just .125 over 61 plate appearances on the season but was valued by the Mets for his defensive acumen.
