Emmanuel Rodriguez - Promoted to Triple-A Rodriguez has been promoted from Double-A Wichita to Triple-A St. Paul, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Impact Rodriguez just recently returned from a right thumb injury with a rehab game at Single-A Fort Myers over the weekend and now will move up to the Twins' highest minor-league affiliate. The 21-year-old has been excellent this season when healthy, slashing .298/.479/.621 with eight home runs, nine stolen bases and 46:42 K:BB over 37 games with Wichita. Rodriguez is already on the 40-man roster, but it seems unlikely he pushes for a promotion to the majors later this month.

Byron Buxton - Beginning rehab assignment Buxton (hip) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports.
Impact Buxton will play center field for the Saints on Monday in what will be his first game action since he went down in mid-August with right hip inflammation. It's not clear how many rehab games the Twins will ask Buxton to play, but a return before the end of the week seems doable.
