Danny Jansen - Placed on IL The Blue Jays placed Jansen on the 10-day injured list with a fractured right middle finger.

Impact Jansen suffered the injury after getting hit by a foul ball during Friday's contest. The Blue Jays haven't offered any information regarding how long Jansen might be out for, but there is no guarantee he makes it back before the end of the season. Alejandro Kirk will take over as Toronto's main catcher, and Tyler Heineman will come up from Triple-A Buffalo to serve as Kirk's backup.

Whit Merrifield - Three hits, stolen base in win Merrifield went 3-for-5 with an RBI-double, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 13-9 win over the Rockies.

Impact Merrifield singled and stole second base off Chris Flexen in the top of the second before he ripped an RBI-double off Brent Suter in the top of the seventh, driving in Alejandro Kirk in the process. The stolen base was his 25th of the year and second in as many games. After a hot stretch from the beginning of July until mid-August, Merrifield has struggled to a .186 average with four extra-base hits over 59 at-bats since Aug. 16, so he'll hope Friday's performance can get him back on track.

Impact Springer recorded three singles, coming around to score in the eighth inning while driving in Kevin Kiermaier in the final frame. Hyun Jin Ryu - Solid versus Rockies Ryu tossed five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three in Friday's 13-9 win over the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.

Impact Ryu was solid in a tough road setting in Colorado, limiting the damage to just a two-run homer by Elehuris Montero in the bottom of the third inning. The left-hander has now allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last five outings, posting a 1.50 ERA with 20 strikeouts over 24 innings in those starts. Ryu will look to keep the good times rolling in his next start which is tentatively set to be against the Athletics on the road Wednesday.
