Recalled from Triple-A The Guardians recalled Herrin from Triple-A Columbus on Saturday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Impact Herrin will return to Cleveland's bullpen with the placement of Triston McKenzie (elbow) on the 15-day injured list Saturday. The 26-year-old lefty has made 10 major-league appearances this season, allowing nine runs over the course of 12.2 innings while racking up 14 strikeouts.

Optioned to Columbus Cleveland optioned Herrin to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Impact Herrin is removed from the 26-man active roster to make room for Cody Morris after Morris was activated off the 60-day injured list by the Guardians on Sunday. Herrin was only with the club for a day as he was recalled by Cleveland prior to Saturday's affair, and he'll likely be up and down for the Guardians throughout the 2023 campaign.

Impact Herrin will return to Triple-A after he was called up Friday, failing to appear in a game while with the Guardians. The left-hander has produced a 4.70 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 10 strikeouts over 7.2 innings in seven appearances with Columbus this season.

Impact Herrin was added to the 40-man roster ahead of the Rule 5 draft in November, and the southpaw registered an 11:2 K:BB with a 4.66 ERA over nine appearances in the Cactus League before receiving the good news. Herrin will likely will pitch in the middle innings while with the Guardians.
