Finds work south of border Estrada signed a contract with Mexican League club Saraperos de Saltillo on April 20.

Impact After being cut loose by the Orioles shortly before Opening Day, Estrada couldn't land a major-league deal with another team and has chosen to continue his career south of the border. The 30-year-old previously spent the 2025 campaign with the Rockies, slashing .253/.285/.370 with three home runs and one stolen base over 165 plate appearances.

Testing open market The Orioles released Estrada on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Baltimore brought Estrada aboard on a minor-league deal to add depth to the infield when Jordan Westburg (elbow) got hurt early in spring training, but the former didn't make enough of an impression in camp to push his way on to the Opening Day roster. With Estrada out of the mix, Jeremiah Jackson, Weston Wilson and Bryan Ramos appear to be the remaining candidates for the Orioles' final bench spot. Rather than reporting to Triple-A Norfolk with the hope of earning a call-up to Baltimore at some point, Estrada will seek out an opportunity in another organization.

Gets NRI deal with O's Estrada signed a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Monday that includes an invite to big-league spring training, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Baltimore already acquired Blaze Alexander to help offset the injuries to Jordan Westburg (elbow) and Jackson Holliday (hand), and now Estrada will enter the fray as well. Estrada, 30, hit .253/.385/.370 with three home runs in 39 games with the Rockies last year. His 2025 season ended in August with a hamstring strain.

Impact Harding notes that Estrada is eligible for arbitration, so he'll remain on the club's 40-man roster for the moment. Estrada appeared in only 39 games in 2025 due to various injuries, including a hamstring issue that forced him to be shut down for nearly the last two months of the regular season. He slashed .253/.285/.370 with three home runs, 21 RBI, one stolen base and 14 runs scored.
