Odúbel Herrera - Won't start Wednesday Herrera (illness) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.
Impact Herrera was held out of the lineup for Tuesday's 6-4 loss after he experienced an allergic reaction shortly before game time, but he was able to make a pinch-hitting appearance off the bench. The lefty-hitting Herrera will remain in a reserve role Wednesday, but that's likely a result of a southpaw (Martin Perez) being on the mound. Expect Herrera to check back into the starting nine in Thursday's series opener with the Mets, when the Phillies face off against right-hander Taijuan Walker.

Nick Castellanos - Back in lineup Wednesday Castellanos (personal) is starting Wednesday against the Rangers.
Impact Castellanos was expected to be placed on the paternity list Tuesday after his wife went into labor, but that move never came. After sitting out in Tuesday's loss, the 30-year-old will serve as the designated hitter and bat second Wednesday.

Nick Solak - Sits against right-hander Solak isn't starting Wednesday against Philadelphia.
Impact Most of Solak's starts this season have come against left-handed pitchers, and he'll retreat to the bench against righty Zack Wheeler on Wednesday. Andy Ibanez will serve as the designated hitter while Zach Reks enters the lineup in left field.
