Impact The veteran shortstop connected on his first homer of the season in the ninth inning off Ian Kennedy. Iglesias has been a little more than just a defensive specialist to begin his tenure with the Angels, slashing .274/.297/.355 through 16 games with two steals, three RBI and nine runs.

Impact He hit back-to-back jacks with Adolis Garcia in the eighth inning, giving the Rangers a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Lowe has had a solid start in Texas after an offseason trade from Tampa Bay, hitting .254 (18-for-71) through 19 games with five homers and 17 RBI.

Impact With the Rangers down 3-1 in the top of the eighth inning, Garcia launched a Mike Mayers offering to center field to put Texas in the lead for good. The 28-year-old is far from polished, getting caught stealing for the second time in three attempts Wednesday and striking out for the 12th time in nine games since joining the roster, but Garcia's supplied a lot more offense in center field than Leody Taveras has, hitting .250 (9-for-36) with three homers and eight RBI.

Impact The right-hander came through with his second quality start of the season, but Foltynewicz came up short of his first win as the Rangers offense didn't really get rolling until the eighth inning. His inability to keep the ball in the park remains a significant issue, and Folty has served up eight long balls in only 22 innings through four starts for a ghastly 3.3 HR/9. He'll carry an understandably bloated 5.32 ERA and 22:7 K:BB into a rematch with the Angels back in Arlington on Tuesday.
