Narrowly misses quality start Leiter took a no-decision Wednesday against the Athletics, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Impact Leiter really worked to try and make it through six frames for the second time this year, firing a season-high 105 pitches, but a Darell Hernaiz single brought his outing to an end with two outs in the sixth. The hard-throwing right-hander was perhaps a bit fortunate to have surrendered only three runs, considering he gave up a season-high seven knocks and fanned a season-low three. Leiter owns a dicey 4.87 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 24:9 K:BB over 20.1 innings, though he does have a favorable matchup up next versus the Pirates.

Moves up order Jung batted fourth and went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 9-6 win over the Athletics.

Impact Jung had a two-run home run in the seventh inning and scored the go-ahead run in the ninth. He's slowly inched up the batting order since returning from a two-game absence attributed to being banged up. In his seven games back, Jung batted ninth, then eighth, then sixth and finally cleanup. He had four hard-hit balls Thursday and lives in the 80th percentile (50 percent) in that category. Putting him higher in the order could lead to more RBI opportunities; Jung entered Thursday with the just three runs driven in over 15 games played.

Makes fifth straight start Duran started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 9-6 win over the Athletics.

Impact Duran gave the Rangers a cushion with a two-run single in the ninth inning. His name popped up in the starting lineup for a fifth consecutive game, this time as a replacement for the resting Corey Seager. His previous starts came at third base for a banged up Josh Jung and in the outfield for the then-injured Wyatt Langford, both of whom are back and played Thursday. The steal was the third in the last four games for Duran, who stole 11 bags in a part-time role last season.

Impact Langford was played the field for the first time in three games since returning from a quad injury. That he felt well enough to steal is good sign. It was the second streal of the season for Langford, who swiped 22 bags (caught six times) in 2025.

Impact Carter has now been left out of the starting lineup five times through the Rangers' first 19 games, with each absence coinciding with Texas facing a left-handed starter. Though Carter's overall volume of playing time will remain suppressed if the Rangers continue to treat him as a strict platoon player, the 23-year-old has more than held his own versus righties thus far, producing a .238/.385/.452 slash line (145 wRC+) over 52 plate appearances against them.

Impact Latz didn't allow a hit or run for the sixth time in eight appearances. Batters were 0-for-29 against him to start the season before Max Muncy took him deep April 10, and they're just 3-for-35 overall off the left-hander. Latz competed for a rotation spot during spring training but struggled, giving up 14 earned runs over 15.2 innings, and eventually began 2026 in the bullpen. He's not yet part of the group, but Latz has emerged as a trusted late-inning arm for manager Skip Schumaker.

Launches homer off bench Burger went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Impact Burger has gone 5-for-15 (.333) with three homers and eight RBI during a four-game hitting streak. He was on the bench to start Wednesday, but he came in as a pinch hitter for Joc Pederson in the sixth inning and stayed in the game at first base. Burger is up to five homers, 15 RBI, eight runs scored and four doubles while batting .254 with an .805 OPS through 18 contests this season. Burger was limited to 16 long balls in 103 contests last year, but he's found a bit more power early in 2026 despite striking out at a 31.1 percent rate so far.

Impact Seager has just three hits over his last eight games (3-for-27), but all of those knocks have gone for extra bases. The contact has been good for the shortstop when he connects, but he's struggling with the second part of that equation. He's batting .203 with a .774 OPS, five homers, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored, a double and one stolen base over 18 contests.
