Takes loss against Dodgers
Bibee (0-1) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four batters over four innings in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Impact
Bibee had to be pulled from his first start last Thursday against Seattle due to a shoulder issue, but the injury didn't prove to be serious, and the right-hander was able to take his normal turn in the rotation Tuesday. He didn't pitch poorly, but he also wasn't efficient, needing 74 pitches to get through four frames. Bibee kept Los Angeles out of the scoring column until there were two outs in his final frame, but an Andy Pages single produced a run and was ultimately responsible for the hurler ending up with the loss. Bibee said after the game that he didn't have any issues with his shoulder, per Mason Horodyski of News 5 Cleveland, so he should be fine to make his next start, which lines up to come at home against Kansas City.

Cleared to start Tuesday
Bibee (shoulder) will start Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Impact
Bibee gave the Guardians a scare after he exited his first start of the campaign Thursday against Seattle with right shoulder inflammation, but the injury turned out to be a minor setback. The 27-year-old made it through a 26-pitch side session Saturday without issue, and the club has officially given him the green light to toe the rubber for Tuesday's matchup.

Aiming to start Tuesday's game
Manager Stephen Vogt said that Bibee (shoulder) went through a weighted-ball workout Friday, and the Guardians are hopeful that the right-hander will be ready to make his next star...
Impact
Bibee started Thursday's season-opening 6-4 win over the Mariners, going five innings and striking out seven while allowing three earned runs on four hits and two walks in a no-decision. He was on track to remain in the game for the bottom of the sixth inning, but after throwing his final warmup pitch, Bibee motioned to the dugout and was removed from the contest after an evaluation from a trainer. He was later diagnosed with right shoulder inflammation, but the Guardians are optimistic that the injury is minor enough that Bibee won't have to miss a start. Bibee had been scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday, so if he experienced no discomfort following that workout, the Guardians could lock him in for Tuesday's start.

Shoulder issue thought to be minor
The Guardians believe Bibee's right shoulder injury isn't serious, but he'll be re-evaluated Friday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
Impact
Bibee was forced to depart Thursday's start in Seattle due to right shoulder inflammation that he felt while warming up prior to the bottom of the sixth inning. Even if the injury is as minor as the Guardians suspect, there's a good chance the right-hander's next start will be pushed back or skipped. Logan Allen is a likely candidate to fill in, if needed.

Leaves with shoulder inflammation
Bibee exited Thursday's start against the Mariners with right shoulder inflammation, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Bibee was in discomfort while warming up ahead of the bottom of the sixth inning and walked off with the training staff. The right-hander will likely undergo further testing in the coming days. Prior to leaving Thursday, Bibee allowed three runs on four hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out seven and gave up three solo home runs. It's unclear if Bibee will be able to make his next scheduled start against the Dodgers next week.

Exits with training staff
Bibee exited Thursday's start against the Mariners ahead of the bottom of the sixth inning after suffering an apparent injury, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Impact

Receiving Opening Day nod
The Guardians named Bibee as their starter for Opening Day against the Mariners on Thursday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
Impact
It'll be the first Opening Day start for Bibee, who was scheduled to do so last season before being a late scratch due to an illness. The right-hander is coming off an up-and-down 2024 campaign, during which he posted a 4.24 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 162:54 K:BB across 182.1 regular-season innings. Now entering his age-27 campaign, Bibee will look to regain the form that resulted in a 3.25 ERA and 1.14 WHIP across his first two MLB seasons in 2023 and 2024.
