Jorge Polanco - Not in Monday's lineup Polanco isn't starting Monday against Seattle.
Impact Polanco will get a rare day off after he went 5-for-16 with a double, three runs, two RBI, four walks and four strikeouts over the last five games. Luis Arraez is shifting to the keystone while Jose Miranda starts at first base.

Elliot Soto - Contract selected by Twins Soto's contract was purchased by the Twins on Monday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Impact Soto's only big-league experience was a three-game stint for the Angels back in 2020. The 32-year-old has spent this year with Triple-A St. Paul, where he's struggled to a .213/.327/.331 slash line and homered just twice in 41 games. He'll give the Twins an extra glove in the middle infield but is unlikely to help much with his bat.

Cody Stashak - Transferred to 60-day IL Stashak (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Impact The Twins announced last week that Stashak will miss the rest of the season since he'll undergo surgery to repair a labrum in his right shoulder, so his move to the 60-day IL is simply procedural. He said that he hopes to be healthy by spring training in 2023 but is unlikely to be ready to return to game action until next May, per Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com.

Luis Patiño - Makes second rehab start Patino (oblique) completed his second rehab start Saturday with the Rays' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate, covering two scoreless innings and striking out five while...
Impact Patino upped his pitch count to 29 in the outing and will now likely advance to one of the Rays' higher-level affiliates to make at least two more rehab starts before potentially coming off the 60-day injured list. The 22-year-old right-hander has been on the shelf since straining his oblique in his season debut with the Rays on April 11.

Cole Sands - Headed back to minors The Twins optioned Sands to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.
Impact Minnesota is expected to get Joe Ryan (illness) back from the COVID-19-related injured list and Sonny Gray (pectoral) from the 15-day injured list this week, so the team had no need to keep Sands around as a No. 5 starter. Sands has made five appearances (three starts) with the big club this season, going 0-3 with an 8.82 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB across 16.1 innings. He should slot back into the Triple-A rotation upon his return to St. Paul.
