Taylor Walls - Battling groin injury Walls is absent from the Rays' lineup Monday versus the Red Sox due to a groin injury, Kristie Ackert of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Impact Walls just returned Saturday after missing more than six weeks with an oblique strain and he lasted just two games before suffering another injury. The Rays are hopeful that he'll be able to avoid an IL stint this time around, but he'll be down for at least a day or two. Vidal Brujan is at shortstop Monday.

Lowe has been a strong per-game contributor throughout the season, and serving in a true everyday role would further improve his outlook.

Impact As expected, Walls has taken over the starting shortstop job in Tampa Bay, as he's started consecutive games at the position since being activated from the injured list Friday. He's gone 3-for-8 in that span and most importantly showed a willingness to be active on the basepaths Sunday. Walls will likely be limited to the bottom third of the order but should still be a solid source of stolen bases and runs scored down the stretch.

Taj Bradley - Walks five batters Bradley allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and five walks over five innings in Sunday's win over Cleveland. He struck out seven and did not factor in the decision.
Impact Bradley was promoted from Triple-A Durham for his first MLB appearance since July 29. He displayed his usual nasty strikeout material but the command was still shaky. He's walked nine batters in his last two MLB starts but he owns a 12 K/9 through 79.2 career innings. If Bradley sticks around for another turn in the rotation, he'll likely face the Mariners at home.

Pete Fairbanks - Notches 19th save Fairbanks retired the only two batters he faced and earned a save over Cleveland on Sunday.
Impact Fairbanks entered the ninth inning with two on and one out. He quickly finished off the 6-2 win with just seven pitches. He rebounded quickly after blowing a save against the Guardians on Saturday after converting his previous 15 chances. Fairbanks owns a 2.55 ERA with a 46:15 K:BB through 35.1 frames.
