Aranda struck out in three of his four plate appearances, but he made his one hit count to tally his sixth homer of the season. He has now gone yard in three straight games, and he has hit .294 with five homers, eight RBI and 10 runs scored across 15 games since he became a regular starter.

Brandon Lowe - Tallies 20th homer
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Sunday against the Blue Jays.
Impact
Lowe has had an all-or-nothing approach at the plate, as he smacked his fourth homer in his last 13 games Sunday. On the other hand, he also has a 29.2 percent strikeout rate in that span -- including three games with multiple strikeouts. Edwin Uceta - Converts adventurous save
Uceta allowed one earned run on two hits and one walk while striking out one in the ninth inning to earn the save Sunday against the Blue Jays.
Impact
Uceta was called upon to protect a two-run lead and allowed the tying run to reach third base with only one out. However, he recorded the final two outs without allowing the ball out of the infield to record his fourth save of the season. Uceta remains one of the most skilled pitchers in the Rays' bullpen, but a different reliever has now converted each of the team's four save chances.

Shane Baz - Six strong innings
Baz allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out six across six innings Sunday against the Blue Jays. He did not factor into the decision.
Impact
Baz dominated early and held the Blue Jays without a hit through three innings. His only true trouble came in the fourth inning when he escaped a bases-loaded jam by allowing only one earned run. There were other positives from the performance, as Baz didn't allow a home run for the first time in his last four starts. He has also allowed only one walk in each of his last three outings and has complied a 16:3 K:BB across 18.1 innings in that span.

Yandy Díaz - Not in Tampa Bay lineup
Diaz is absent from the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Blue Jays.
Impact
Brandon Lowe is getting a start in the designated hitter spot in this one, while Jonathan Aranda will cover first base. Diaz's playing time has slipped a bit this month, as this is the sixth time he's been out of the Rays' lineup.

Christopher Morel - Taking seat Sunday
Morel is not in the lineup for Sunday's contest against the Blue Jays.
Impact
Dylan Carlson will patrol left field and bat leadoff for the Rays. The Blue Jays are using a right-handed opener in Ryan Burr and are then expected to turn to lefty Ryan Yarbrough in bulk relief, so Morel is a candidate to enter mid-game.
