Impact The minor-league season is over, so Shenton will stay in shape at the team's spring training facility in case he's needed later this week. Shenton has put up a .745 OPS over 50 plate appearances during his time in the majors this season.

Richie Palacios - Returns from injured list The Rays activated Palacios (knee) from the 10-day injured list Monday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Impact Palacios has been sidelined since early August with a right knee sprain but has been cleared to return after playing five rehab games with Triple-A Durham. The 27-year-old could see a few starts in the final week between second base and the outfield.

Impact Aranda struck out in three of his four plate appearances, but he made his one hit count to tally his sixth homer of the season. He has now gone yard in three straight games, and he has hit .294 with five homers, eight RBI and 10 runs scored across 15 games since he became a regular starter.

Impact Lowe has had an all-or-nothing approach at the plate, as he smacked his fourth homer in his last 13 games Sunday. On the other hand, he also has a 29.2 percent strikeout rate in that span -- including three games with multiple strikeouts. Overall, Lowe has managed to record 20 home runs for the second consecutive season despite appearing in only 102 games.

Impact Uceta was called upon to protect a two-run lead and allowed the tying run to reach third base with only one out. However, he recorded the final two outs without allowing the ball out of the infield to record his fourth save of the season. Uceta remains one of the most skilled pitchers in the Rays' bullpen, but a different reliever has now converted each of the team's four save chances.
