José Godoy - Sent down to minors Godoy was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Impact Godoy made just 20 at-bats in the majors this season, and only one of them resulted in a hit. He will now be sent to Triple-A Indianapolis, where he has a .947 OPS over 42 plate appearances in 2022. To fill his roster spot, the Pirates recalled Tucupita Marcano in a corresponding move.

Impact After being sent down in mid-September, Marcano closed the Triple-A season with a .596 OPS over 48 plate appearances. Now, with two games left in the season, the Pirates will bring on the 23-year-old infielder to close their season as well. Jose Godoy was optioned to Indianapolis in a corresponding move.

Roansy Contreras - Optioned to Triple-A Contreras was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

Impact After allowing multiple runs in each of his last three starts, Contreras will finish the 2022 season in the minors. He put up a 3.79 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in the majors this season and will likely be back on the major league roster to start 2023. JT Brubaker (arm) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move.
