No-decision Tuesday Manaea didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Orioles after allowing two runs on four hits while striking out six over 5.1 innings.

Impact Manaea surrendered solo homers to Christian Encarnacion-Strand and Jeremiah Jackson in the second inning but otherwise kept the Orioles quiet. More encouragingly, he didn't issue a walk for a second straight start and has done a good job limiting free passes of late with just two walks in his last four starts and 21.2 innings. Manaea owns a 5.36 ERA since the beginning of August, and this was the first time since Aug. 9 he didn't allow more than four runs in a single start. He's tabbed to make his next start against the Phillies this weekend.

Impact Manaea was in complete control for most of Tuesday's start, retiring the first 15 batters he faced while being handed a 6-0 lead by his Mets teammates. However, the right-hander's night took a turn for the worse in the sixth, when he allowed a hit to each of the first five batters he faced while being tagged for four runs. Luckily for Manaea, he received enough run support to come away with his fifth win of the season and third since the All-Star break. He's allowed at least four runs in each of his last five outings, and he'll take a 4.79 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 133.1 innings into his next start, tentatively slated for next week at home against the Orioles.
