Signs with Japanese team Hjelle recently signed a contract with the Orix Buffaloes of Nippon Professional Baseball, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Impact Hjelle posted a 5.11 ERA and 145:44 K:BB over 149.2 innings across the last four seasons with the Giants. The 6-foot-11 right-hander will now apply his trade overseas.
