Impact Kim went deep in the fourth inning, swatting a solo shot to left field. It was his first long ball since May 24, a span of 25 games. Kim has been contributing in other ways, however, posting a healthy .279 batting average and 11.3 percent walk rate along with 12 runs and four thefts through 20 games in June.

Alex Wood - Gets lit up in loss Wood (2-2) took the loss Thursday, allowing six runs on four hits and four walks over 3.1 innings against the Padres. He struck out two.
Impact The Padres wasted no time in jumping all over Wood as the lefty issued walks to two of the first three batters he faced before surrendering a three-run shot to Gary Sanchez to put the Giants in an early hole. He allowed another three-run homer to Manny Machado in the third and has now allowed six runs in two of his last three starts. It marked Wood's shortest outing since May 12 against the Diamondbacks and his ERA now sits at 5.17 on the season after Thursday's disastrous start.

Manny Machado - Homes, drives in three in win Machado went 2-for-4 with a homer, a double and three RBI in Thursday's win over the Giants. He also scored two runs.
Impact Machado launched a three-run shot in the top of the third to give the Padres a commanding 6-0 lead and came around to score a second time in the fifth after opening the inning with a leadoff double. The third baseman raised his average to .258 with the performance and has now recorded two hits in each of his last two games. He's also hitting a .312 this month to go along with four homers, 13 RBI and 11 runs scored after batting just .233 in May with one homer.

Blake Snell - Continues dominance in win Snell (4-6) earned the win Thursday, allowing three hits over six scoreless innings against the Giants while striking out 11.
Impact Snell's red-hot June run continued Thursday as the lefty pitched six innings of shutout ball for the second straight start and third time in four starts this month. The only real trouble he faced on the afternoon came in the fifth when he allowed back-to-back singles with two outs in the inning. However, he got himself out of the jam by striking out Bryce Johnson to end the inning and then proceeded to strike out the side in the sixth to finish with double-digit strikeouts for the third consecutive game. Snell now holds a ridiculous 0.36 ERA through four June starts to go along with a 43:6 K:BB ratio.
