Jonathan Villar - Pops sixth homer Villar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Padres.
Impact His eighth-inning shot off Pierce Johnson capped the scoring for the Mets. Villar is red hot in June, going 10-for-28 (.357) over eight games, and on the season the veteran infielder is batting .255 with six homers, seven steals, 15 RBI and 25 runs through 51 games.

Francisco Lindor - Swats sixth homer Lindor went 1-for-3 with a walk, a two-run home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Padres.
Impact His first-inning blast off Joe Musgrove gave Marcus Stroman and the Mets bullpen all the offense they would need. Lindor seems to have found a groove at the plate, batting .314 (16-for-51) over the last 13 games with seven extra-base hits, including three of his six homers on the season.

Edwin Díaz - Locks down 12th save Diaz struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 12th save of the season in a 4-1 win over the Padres.
Impact The Mets closer needed only 10 pitches (seven strikes) to get the job done. Diaz has been locked in lately, posting a 0.87 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB over his last 10 appearances and 10.1 innings, but after pitching in each of the last two games, he'll likely be unavailable Sunday as New York looks for the series sweep.

Marcus Stroman - Fans eight in Saturday's win Stroman (6-4) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Padres, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out eight.
Impact The right-hander held the Padres off the board until serving up a solo shot to Fernando Tatis in the seventh inning. Stroman has won three straight decisions, with his last loss coming May 16, and he's reeled off five straight quality starts, giving him nine in 14 trips to the mound this year. He'll take a 2.33 ERA and 67:18 K:BB through 77.2 innings into his next outing.
