INJURIES

Back in minors The Angels optioned Aldegheri to Triple-A Salt Lake on Wednesday.
Impact After pitching 5.1 shutout innings out of the bullpen in Tuesday's contest, Aldegheri will head back to Triple-A to make room for Shaun Anderson, who was selected to the active roster in a corresponding move. Aldegheri now owns a 2.45 ERA and 1.36 WHIP through 11 innings in the majors and could be a candidate for a spot start with the Halos later this year.
1 DAY AGO • ROTOWIRE
Recalled from Salt Lake The Angels recalled Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.
Impact The 24-year-old southpaw will return to the majors to give the Angels another fresh arm in the bullpen, replacing Jose Fermin. Aldegheri has given up three earned runs in 5.2 innings with the Halos this season but has struggled considerably in the minors, posting a 7.24 ERA and 1.72 WHIP through 46 frames at Salt Lake. He'll likely be limited to low-leverage work as long as he's with the big club.

Impact Aldegheri made what turned out to be just a spot start Tuesday versus the White Sox, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks over four innings. He will return to the rotation at Salt Lakee, where he's posted a 7.77 ERA and 23:13 K:BB over 24.1 frames this season.

Yields two runs in short start Aldegheri allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over four innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Tuesday. He didn't strike out any batters.
Impact Aldegheri was summoned from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday and was tabbed to start one day later. The southpaw had a rough first inning, giving up two runs on two hits and two walks before retiring a batter, but he settled down thereafter and didn't allow Chicago to score over the remainder of his outing. However, Aldegheri was pulled after just four frames and 69 pitches despite the fact that he had thrown six innings and 97 pitches in his most recent minor-league start last Tuesday. Yusei Kikuchi (shoulder) landed on the IL on Tuesday, so there's at least a temporary opening in the Angels' rotation, which could mean that Aldegheri will get additional starts moving forward.
MAY 6 • ROTOWIRE
Drawing start Tuesday Aldegheri will start Tuesday's game against the White Sox, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
Impact Aldegheri was just recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, and he will grab the rotation spot vacated by the injured Yusei Kikuchi (shoulder). The left-handed Aldegheri made one relief appearance for the Halos earlier this season, yielding one run while striking out two over 1.2 innings. He holds a 7.77 ERA and 23:13 K:BB over 24.1 frames with Salt Lake this season.
MAY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Recalled by Halos The Angels recalled Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.
Impact Monday marks the second time this season that Aldegheri has been called up to the majors. His lone outing with the Angels this season was April 16 against the Yankees, when he allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out two across 1.2 innings, though he was credited with the win for that contest. He'll replace Nick Sandlin on the 26-man roster, the latter of whom was optioned to Salt Lake in a corresponding move.
MAY 4 • ROTOWIRE
Sent back to Triple-A The Angels optioned Aldegheri to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.
Impact Aldegheri made his season debut Thursday against the Yankees and gave up one earned run on a solo homer in 1.2 innings. He'll now rejoin the rotation at Triple-A Salt Lake and be replaced on the big-league roster by Walbert Urena.

Recalled from Triple-A The Angels recalled Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
Impact Aldegheri has been roughed up for 16 runs with an 11:10 K:BB over 13.1 innings in his first three starts with Salt Lake. The lefty is on four days' rest, however, so he will give the Halos some much-needed length in the bullpen.

Headed to Triple-A Aldegheri was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday.
Impact Aldegheri appeared in two games with the Angels during spring training, giving up two runs on four hits and four walks while striking out four batters over 4.1 innings. The 24-year-old struggled to a 7.90 ERA and 2.20 WHIP over 13.2 innings in four appearances, including two starts, with the Angels in 2025. He will now head to Salt Lake ahead of the regular season, and he'll look to impress at the Triple-A level in an attempt to get another shot with the major-league club in the near future.

Yields four runs in loss Aldegheri (0-2) took the loss against the Astros on Sunday, allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five across 4.2 innings.
Impact Aldegheri gave up a run in the first inning but managed to keep the Astros off the board through the next three frames. He was brought back out for the fifth, only to be tagged for three more runs on homers from Yainer Diaz and Ramon Urias before being pulled. Aldegheri spent most of the 2025 season in Triple-A but appeared in four major-league games for the Angels, including two starts in September. He'll end the year with the big club with a 7.90 ERA and 2.20 WHIP over 13.2 innings, and he'll end his season in Triple-A with an 8-8 record across 24 starts with a 3.78 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 113:60 K:BB in 133.1 innings.

Takes loss in first start Aldegheri (0-1) took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.2 innings against the Royals. He struck out three.
Impact Aldegheri stumbled out of the gate Tuesday, giving up hits to the first two batters he faced and ultimately surrendering a pair of runs in the opening frame. It marked the southpaw's first big-league start of the season and his first MLB appearance since July 8. Through three appearances spanning nine innings, Aldegheri owns an 8.00 ERA and 2.22 WHIP.
SEPTEMBER 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Slated to start Tuesday Aldegheri will start Tuesday's series opener versus the Royals in Anaheim, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact The Angels recalled Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday after Jose Soriano (forearm) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move, and since Aldegheri wasn't needed out of the bullpen in the Halos' weekend series in Colorado, he'll end up slotting into Soriano's spot in the rotation. Though he was tagged for seven runs (five earned) in 4.1 innings over his prior two long-relief appearances with the big club earlier this summer, Aldegheri has excelled since the All-Star break while pitching out of the rotations for Salt Lake and Double-A Rocket City, notching a 2.43 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB in 55.2 innings. Unless the Angels elect to expand the rotation to six men, Aldegheri will tentatively line up for two starts during the last week of the season, with his second turn set to come in Sunday's finale versus the Astros.

Los Angeles Angels pitcher José Soriano has gone on the 15-day injured list with a bruised right forearm after getting hit by a line drive
SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 • Associated Press
Officially promoted The Angels recalled Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
Impact Aldegheri will come up from the minors to presumably fill the absence in Los Angeles' rotation left by Jose Soriano (forearm), who was placed on the injured list Thursday. Aldegheri has given up five earned runs in just 4.1 innings in the big leagues this year, though he owns a 3.82 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 127.1 minor-league frames.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Joining big-league club The Angels will recall Aldegheri from Triple-A Salt Lake, Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact The Angels have not announced any probable pitchers for their weekend series in Colorado, and Aldegheri could slot into the rotation one of those days. Aldegheri boasts a 2.52 ERA and 50:20 K:BB over 60.2 innings covering his last 10 starts between Double-A Rocket City and Salt Lake. The lefty has made two relief appearances for the Angels this season, yielding seven runs (five earned) across 4.1 frames.
