Impact Moll had a rough weekend in St. Louis, losing two consecutive games by giving up eighth-inning runs. His own throwing error led to one run while shortstop Matt McLain's fielding error plated the second. The Reds bullpen has been a mess since the beginning of May and currently sits 29th with a 5.12 ERA and last with 158 walks allowed (5.74 BB/9).

Impact Moll is the latest Reds reliever to meltdown. Cincinnati manager Terry Francona has cycled through a few relievers in search of someone that can replace injured closer Emilio Pagan (hamstring). It was likely just a matchup-driven decision with Santillan reeling, but the 34-year-old Moll has put together a strong campaign, posting a 2.49 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 26:12 K:BB across 25.1 innings.
